Earlier this week, a source claimed that Cruise was very much interested in Shakira and wanted to date her. However, a new report claims that the pop star does not feel the same way about the actor and does not wish to pursue him romantically. Meanwhile, shippers are now disappointed with the development.
Shakira is ‘Not Interested’ in Dating Tom Cruise, Says New Report
An insider close to Shakira talked about the singer’s outlook on dating Cruise and revealed, “Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him. He was really nice, and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment.”
“She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids [Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10] and career for now,” the source added. He also revealed that Shakira laughed off the rumors of Cruise wanting to date her.
“Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her—and how fans are chiming in with their opinions—but she thinks it’s hilarious because it’s just not true. She had a fun time when they chatted, but that’s as far as things have gone,” said the source.
Shakira and Tom Cruise were Spotted Together at Grand Prix Last Week
The 46-year-old pop icon and the 60-year-old film star were photographed together at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami last weekend. They were also seen having a conversation while sitting in a private hospitality suite. The pictures of the two global stars together sent fans into a frenzy.
On May 9th, reports surfaced that Cruise was romantically inclined toward Shakira and had sent flowers to her home after their hangout at the race. “He is extremely interested in pursuing her. There is chemistry,” said the source.
“Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom. He has the benefit of being a nice-looking guy, and he is talented,” he continued, and joked, “And she isn’t taller than him.” Cruise has been single for quite a while now. He was previously married to Nicole Kidman, Mimi Rogers, and Katie Holmes.

The Waka Waka singer announced her break up with her boyfriend, footballer Gerard Piqué in June last year. The two had been together for 12 years before splitting and share two children. “We regret to confirm that we are separating,” the former couple said in a joint statement at the time.
“For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy,” they added. Shakira then shifted from Barcelona to Miami with her kids. “I settled in Barcelona to give my children stability, the same we are now looking for in another corner of the world next to family, friends, and the sea,” she wrote on Instagram in April.
