It’s all over between Jason Oppenheim and Marie Lou Nurk! On Wednesday, the real estate agent took to his Instagram Story to announce that he and his girlfriend Marie Lou Nurk have broken up.
“While we still love and care about each other very much the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome,” he wrote alongside a beautiful snap of the pair looking off into the sunset.”
Jason continued, “We remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other and we want the very best for one another. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship.”
Marie Lou Nurk has openly spoken about dating long distance
The news of the pair’s split comes a couple of days after Marie Lou who splits her time between Los Angeles and Paris talked about the challenges of being in a long-distance relationship during an Instagram Q&A session.
At that time, the 25-year-old model replied to a question regarding Jason’s reaction to her moving back to France. She responded by writing, “The truth is, we both knew from the beginning that I would have to move back because of my job, friends, and family being here.”
Nurk further added, “Long distance relationships can be tough, but we’re both committed to making it work. We make sure to communicate regularly and make time for each other despite the distance.”
She went on to say, “While it’s not always easy, we both believe that our love is worth the effort. I’m grateful to have such a supportive partner who understands my goals and passions. At the end of the day, it’s important to follow your heart and pursue your dreams, even if it means taking risks and facing challenges.”

The pair recently moved into a new house in Los Angeles together. Last year, the 5,500-square-foot real estate property was enlisted for $18 million. In February, they gave a tour of their new home.
