Selena Gomez deletes ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Instagram post after SAG-AFTRA controversy
The former Disney star’s latest Instagram post has sparked a controversy. Selena recently posted a video from what seemed like the set of Hulu’s comedy show Only Murders in the Building. She tagged the official Instagram account of the show in the caption of the post and wrote, “Missing and wanting.”
The multi-hyphenate’s post which has been deleted from the platform now violated the SAG-AFTRA strike rules which prohibit members from participating in or promoting any productions in movies or television made under a SAG-AFTRA agreement. In addition to this, the strike also prohibits all members from giving interviews, promoting their work on social media, and attending festivals, awards shows, and conventions.

One social media user wrote, “girl the sag strike????” Followed by a second user who penned, “Tone deaf,” meanwhile another user commented, “you are still on strike, delete it for your own good!!!” One fan went on to say, “stick to the rules, or ship out.”
A comment read, “This is direct violation. You’re not supposed to mention your work, any work ’cause social media posts equal to promotion of said work. She is in BIG trouble. Possible blacklisting ’cause this is DIRECT VIOLATION of the promotion rules. Yikes.”
