Sabrina Carpenter Cancels Portland Show After ‘Credible Security Threat’

Sabrina Carpenter is thinking about the safety of her fans! Recently, the American singer and actress had to cancel her Portland show due to a “credible security threat.” She didn’t want to jeopardize the safety of those in attendance.

On Monday, the Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying singer was ready to hit the stage at the Keller Auditorium but the show was canceled minutes before after a person informed about a bomb threat targeting the Crystal Ballroom. Read on to know more details about the whole incident.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Portland show gets canceled after security threat

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, Carpenter was supposed to perform at the Keller Auditorium on Monday but the show was called off a couple of minutes before she was set to take over the stage.

It has been reported that Sabrina’s Portland concert was canceled after an anonymous person chimed in and mentioned about a bomb threat targeting the Crystal Ballroom which is a different Portland venue.

While having a chat with Rolling Stone, Lieutenant Nathan Sheppard of the Portland Police Bureau said, “Employees with the Crystal Ballroom called after they received a phone call from an anonymous person claiming they were going to blow up the venue.”

A rep from AEG Presents told the magazine, “While the threat was not directed at Keller Auditorium specifically, Sabrina and event organizers agreed that out of an abundance of caution, the show be called off. Steps were taken to ensure that the audience exited the venue calmly, quickly, and safely.”

Sabrina Carpenter shared a message for her fans after the cancelation of the Portland concert

Soon after the official announcement regarding the show’s cancelation was made, Sabrina also put out a statement of her own on the social media platform Twitter.  She started by writing, “Portland, I can’t tell you how much this breaks my heart, this is the last thing I wanted to do but due to unforeseen circumstances we will not be able to perform tonight.”

The Because I Liked a Boy crooner went on to say, “Please take care of yourselves and return home safely! i am so sorry. i love you very much.”
