Former “View” co-host Rosie O’Donnell, 60 and TikToker Aimee Hauer, 43 have called it quits after dating less than a year, a source confirmed on Wednesday (Oct. 26). Even though the couple hasn’t officially opened up about a reason, Aimee has alluded the breakup in several TikTok videos.
A Short-Lived Romance
American comedian Rosie O’Donnell, 60 and massage therapist, Aimee Hauer, 43 announced their relationship during this Pride month in June. Aimee’s Instagram post, confirming their relationship has since been deleted. The two initially met on TikTok, and Donnell revealed how she enjoyed her now-ex’s inked body.
During her appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show in September, O’Donnell stated, “I watched … her TikToks and every time I saw her, I would smile and [be] like, ‘This woman is, like, perfect.” She recalled, “Look at her, she’s so happy and enthusiastic and beautiful and bright and she has a light coming from her.”
“I sent her a DM,” she continued. “I thought maybe we would just be friends. I said, ‘You’re very beautiful. I love your look,’ and, like, 10 days later she wrote me back with a little video.” The former couple made their first red carpet debut in July at the Stand Up for Friendly House comedy benefit at the Fonda Theatre, L.A.
Hauer’s Heartbroken Videos…
The former “View” co-host may not have spoken yet about the breakup, but Hauer’s TikTok latest TikTok videos confirm that the couple is no longer together. After four months of dating, Aimee shared a montage of clips wherein she could be seen dealing with the after-effects of the breakup with Rosie.
In the video posted on Sept. 30, the social media star can be seen hogging snacks. She captioned the video: “Yes, we broke up 💔. I loved her BIG big. 😞😢 This one is gonna leave a mark. She continued, “Processing each emotional [sic] as it comes. Feeling those feelings. 💕THANK YOUUU to my people. You know who you are. I am surrounded by awesomeness and I am truly grateful. 🤟🏼😘. I can do hard things. ❤️🩹”
The latest video confirming their split was posted by Aimee on Oct. 10, when she addressed a comment from a critic, which said: “Rosie O’Donnell has a good head on her shoulder for kicking you to the streets.” In return, she joked, “Just the one shoulder? …. Good head on the one shoulder?” Looking at these videos, it appears that O’Donnell was the one who broke up with Hauer.
However, there has been no official statement from the 60-year-old star, who once, thought of Aimee as a perfect partner. As for her personal life, O’Donnell is a foster and adoptive mother. She is an active advocate for lesbian rights and gay adoption issues. O’Donnell has been a television producer and a collaborative partner in the LGBT family vacation company R Family Vacation.
Before dating Aimee, Rosie married Kelli Carpenter, a former Nickelodeon marketing executive. The two share an adopted child, Parker Jaren O’Donnell. After her divorce from Carpenter, Rosie began dating 40-year-old executive search consultant Michelle Rounds in mid-2011 and married her privately in 2012. The couple adopted a baby girl. However, they got divorced in 2015, and Rosie was awarded full custody of the child. Rounds died by suicide in 2017.
