Priyanka Chopra might be reprising her role as Priya in Bollywood’s first superhero film franchise’s next outing, “Krrish 4.” News outlets, including Bollywood Hungama and Filmfare, have announced that Chopra has agreed to return as Priya, a journalist and the love interest of Krrish, played by Hrithik Roshan.
The first film in the series, “Koi Mil Gaya,” starred Roshan as Rohit, a mentally challenged man who contacts with aliens and bonds with one of them who is left behind. Preity Zinta played his love interest Nisha. The plot of the story was derived from the American classic, “E.T.”
The second film, “Krrish,” followed the life of Krishna (played by Roshan), the son of Rohit and Nisha. Thanks to his father’s extraterrestrial contact, Krishna was born with special abilities like super strength, which leads him to become the superhero, Krrish. Chopra joined the franchise as Priya, a journalist for the news channel Aaj Tak and Krrish’s love interest. She returned for “Krrish 3,” and now will possibly reprise her role in “Krrish 4.”
Chopra has been working in Hollywood for quite some time in films like “Baywatch” and her hit television show, “Quantico,” which recently wrapped its 3-season run. However, the beauty queen is finally returning to her roots with some Bollywood films. She is currently working on “The Sky is Pink,” a film on the life of young motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary. She was also roped in for Salman Khan’s “Bharat” as well but dropped out later.
It looks like Bollywood fans will face a double feature of Chopra with “The Sky is Pink” and “Krrish 4,” once it is confirmed that the actress will join the cast.
