The Television Academy has released the official date of the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards today. NBC is set to air the prestigious award ceremony on September 12, 2022. However, nominations are scheduled to be announced on July 12, 2022. Read on to know more.

The 74th Emmy Awards
The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards will be bestowed by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) in recognition of excellence in American Primetime Television Programming. The ceremony will revolve around factors like themes, style characteristics and format instead of dayparts.
The location for the prestigious ceremony is yet to be announced. Although Emmy usually takes place at the Microsoft Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, last year it was held across the street on the Event Deck at L.A. Live.
The Emmys will air live on NBC from 8-11 p.m ET/5-8 p.m. PT on September 12th. Last year, it was Jimmy Kimmel who hosted the prestigious event. The primetime Emmy Awards are divided into seven heads and include around 24 categories. Have a look at the division:
