Post Malone’s last day with the Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP) for a six-date run in Australia didn’t turn out well as the singer was denied entry into an Australian bar for his facial or neck tattoos. It is reported that the QT Perth hotel’s rooftop bar denied him access because his tattoos did not meet the venue’s dress standards. The hotel later apologised to the artist for their behaviour.
Post Malone’s Bitter Australian Experience…
Sunday (Feb. 12) marked Post Malone’s final show with RHCP for a six-date run in Australia. The “Circles” singer didn’t have a great time in Perth after he was denied entry to a swanky bar over the weekend because his tattoos didn’t meet the place’s strict dress code, which prohibits “face, neck and offensive tattoos.”
Post Malone expressed his disappointment in an interview by stating: “They turned me away for my tattoos. I’ve never really experienced anything like that.” The incident occurred at QT Perth’s rooftop bar. After leaving the place, the 27-year-old artist headed to another club where he paid for his fans’ drinks and celebrated the end of his six-date tour.
After the incident, the QT Perth Hotel issued a sincere apology for the misunderstanding. “At QT, we aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual. QT has been recognized for this for many years,” the hotel spoke in their defense.
“However, on Saturday night, our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion, and we take full responsibility for this. We sincerely apologize to the individuals affected.” Post Malone is known for his distinctive facial and neck tattoos.
All About Post Malone’s Tattoos
Post Malone loves getting inked. The Grammy nominee, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, is known for a dozen facial tattoos. Recently, he got his daughter’s initials inked on his forehead. He got three massive letters, “DDP” tattooed in honour of his 4-month-daughter.
Apart from this, his famous under-eye tattoos read: “Always Tired”. Well, they surely serve as as a cheeky replacement for concealer after a long night. He also has a “Stay Away” tattoo over his right eyebrow, which is a tribute to one of Malone’s favourite Nirvana songs. Not to mention, he likes swords and has one tattooed down the side of his face.
Previously, the artist opened up about the reason behind these facial and neck tattoos. In a 2020 interview with “GQ”, Malone revealed: I’mana ugly-ass motherf—ker. The face tattoos maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don’t like how I look, so I’m going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, ‘You look cool, kid,’ and have a modicum of self-confidence when it comes to my appearance.” What do you think about this bar incident?
