Pamela Anderson is here to tell her story in her own words! Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Pamela, A Love Story, a documentary based on the life of iconic actresses, which will delve into her career choices, romances, and the media attention she received.

Pamela, A Love Story Trailer: The Actress Bares her Heart to the World
In the trailer, Anderson is seen opening up about how the glamour industry and the media treated her over the years. She also talks about the controversial honeymoon tape which featured her and Tommy Lee.
“I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive and now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick. I want to take control of the narrative for the first time,” she says. The trailer then shifts to the topic of how Anderson was questioned about being a ‘serious actress’.
The paparazzi are seen following her, and a voice-over says, “I don’t think people consider her the owner of her own image. It’s Pamela Anderson: public property.” The 55 year old actress then talks about her past choices, and we see a glimpse of her romantic life as well.
“I put myself in crazy situations and survive them. I don’t care what people think. Because that’s the only choice I had. If I cared what people think I wouldn’t be here,” the star adds. Pamela, A Love Story is all set to release on Netflix on January 31. Watch the trailer below.
The Documentary is Pamela’s Response to Hulu’s Pam & Tommy
In 2022, Hulu released a series featuring a fictionalized version of the controversy about Pamela and Tommy Lee’s honeymoon tape. Titled Pam & Tommy, the series generated a lot of curiosity amongst the audience about the actress’ life. Pamela objected to the series strongly and agreed to feature in a documentary on Netflix to share her side of the story.
The official synopsis of the documentary reads, “An intimate and humanizing portrait of one of the world’s most famous blonde bombshells, Pamela, a love story follows the trajectory of Pamela Anderson’s life and career from small town girl to international sex symbol, actress, activist and doting mother.”
Pamela, A Love Story will Feature Never-Before-Seen Archival Footage
The documentary will feature some unseen archival footage from Pamela’s personal life, along with photos and journal entries. The Baywatch actress earlier revealed that she was hesitant to say yes to the documentary at first but now feels empowered looking back.
“I hope that my story inspires people to have a great fucking time and not worry so much,” Anderson added. Pamela, A Love Story has been directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Ryan White, known for The Keepers and Ask Dr. Ruth.
