Outlander is undoubtedly one of the most popular historical fiction dramas of our times. The show never fails to impress audiences with its time-travel storyline, stellar performances, and intense drama.

Outlander Season 7: Release Date and Trailer
Outlander season 7 is set to premiere on Starz network on Friday, June 16th at 8 pm ET / 9 pm PT. The season will follow a weekly schedule with one new episode coming out each Friday. There are going to be 16 episodes in season 7, which have been split into two parts. The first part, featuring eight episodes, will go on from June 16th to August 24th, 2023.
The second part will premiere sometime in 2024, however, the exact release date has not been announced yet. To watch the show, you can buy a subscription to Starz, costing $8.99 a month. The official trailer for the new season was unveiled by the network on May 11th, which can be checked out below.
Outlander Season 7: Plot
The upcoming season will follow the events of Claire’s trial and reveal if she gets out alive. It will be based on the 2009 book An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon. The synopsis for the season reads, “Jamie and Young Ian race to rescue Claire before she’s tried and wrongfully convicted for the murder of Malva Christie.”
“But their mission is complicated by the beginning of a geopolitical firestorm: The American Revolution has arrived. In the seventh season of OUTLANDER, Jamie, Claire, and their family are caught in the violent birth pains of an emerging nation as armies march to war and British institutions crumble in the face of armed rebellion.”
“The land the Frasers call home is changing – and they must change with it. In order to protect what they’ve built, the Frasers have to navigate the perils of the Revolutionary War. They learn that sometimes to defend what you love, you have to leave it behind.”

Outlander Season 7: Cast
The main cast members will be seen reprising their roles in Outlander season 7, including Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall Fraser, Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Richard Rankin as Roger Wakefield, Sophie Skelton as Brianna Randall, John Bell as Young Ian, David Berry as Lord John Grey and Caitlin O’Ryan as Lizzie Wemyss Beardsley.
The cast also includes Paul Gorman as Josiah and Keziah Beardsley, Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Jocasta Cameron Innes, and Mark Lewis Jones as Thomas Christie. New additions to the cast include Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter, Diarmaid Murtagh as Buck Mackenzie, and Gloria Obianyo as Mercy Woodcock.
