The third season of Outer Banks is almost here, and to add to the excitement of the fans, Netflix has now launched the official trailer for the show. While things finally started to look good for the Pogues in the previous season finale, the new trailer teases more trouble for the group.
The ten-episode third season will feature the kids on a newfound island, which seemed like an idyllic home at first. However, things soon start to take a different turn putting the group in danger. Read on to watch the new trailer and know more about the upcoming season.
Outer Banks Season 3 Shows the Pogues Held at Gunpoint
The trailer does not reveal much about the storyline of the season but does show the Pogues staying carefree on the Poguelandia island as they fish, swim, and live their best life. However, soon they get involved in another race for treasure, which leads to trouble.
The group is then seen running for their lives. At one point, they are being held at gunpoint and getting into brawls. The upcoming season will also focus on the interpersonal relationships, and family situations of the characters as John B’s and Sarah’s fathers make a return to the show. More About the Upcoming Season
Netflix has also unveiled the synopsis for season 3, which reads, “After losing the gold and fleeing the Outer Banks, Season 3 finds the Pogues washed ashore on a desert island that, for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home.”
“Officially deemed “Poguelandia,” the island’s newest residents spend their days fishing, swimming, and reveling in the carefree lifestyle of their temporary dwelling. But things quickly go south for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo when they find themselves once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives.”
“They’re broke and far from home, they can’t trust anyone, Ward and Rafe are hungry for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find the bounty. Was the treasure ever within their reach? Or was it all a trap to stop them once and for all? Either way, it’s the Pogues against the world – and the only way out is together,” it reads further.
