Last Year’s Oscars
Last year’s Oscar was the first one to be held in the pandemic era. It was a roller coaster of emotions and entertainment. Chloe Zhao made history by being the first woman of color who won the best director prize.
Yuh-Jung Youn flirted with Brad Pitt and an absent Anthony Hopkins won the award for best actor when everyone believed that it would be Chadwick Boseman.
Although the exact format of the show is not known as of now, it will be directed by Emmy winner Glen Weiss. Glen will be directing the show for the seventh consecutive year. While Will Packer will be the show’s producer.
This will be the 94th Oscar to be held. The awards have become known for awarding technical as well as artistic merit in the industry. Oscars or Academy awards are often considered the highest achievement for an individual.
Given how the past few years have completely changed the way we live, this year’s Oscars will be a good distraction. It is also a good reminder that some things haven’t changed and we can find some solace in that. Also, fans get a chance to rejoice and be happy when their favorite film or celebrity wins the prestigious award.
