Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building has had a dream run of two seasons so far. The mystery comedy-drama not only impressed the audience and critics but also received Golden Globe and Emmy nominations.

Only Murders in the Building Season 3: Release Date and Number of Episodes
Only Murders in the Building season 3 is going to premiere on Hulu on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023. The release date was confirmed by the streaming platform during a Disney presentation in May this year. Notably, the first season also premiered in August, while the second one was launched just eight months later in June 2022.
Hulu has not yet officially announced the number of episodes in season 3. However, the new season is expected to follow suit of its two predecessors and feature 10 episodes. The first two episodes will be released as a special premiere event on August 8th.
Only Murders in the Building Season 3: Plot and Trailer
The second season ended on a cliffhanger when the newly introduced Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) collapsed onstage after a tense moment with his co-star Charles (Steve Martin). This new mystery will now form the premise of season 3.
“Paul Rudd, after making an auspicious entrance into the world of our show at the end of Season 2 as Ben Glenroy, is someone we clearly want to know more about and see in our upcoming Season 3 — as he is a clear source of many upcoming questions and, as ever with our show, many twists yet to come!” co-creator John Hoffman revealed.
Hulu also released a teaser for the upcoming season in March, which gave a glimpse of another legendary actor joining the cast: Meryl Streep, along with footage of the main leads. However, the full trailer has not been made available yet.
Only Murders in the Building Season 3: Cast
Apart from the new additions of Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep, the show will continue to star Steve Martin as Charles-Haden Savage, Martin Short as Oliver Putnam, and Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora. Gomez first announced Streep’s association with the show in an Instagram post in January.
“Working with her, for any actor I would assume, it takes your breath away to be around someone who is a part of history, who has paved the way for so many actresses and told so many powerful stories and is recognized for that. And she couldn’t have been more humble, more nice, more, just, adorable. I don’t know how to explain it,” the singer said.
Michael Cyril Creighton will also return as Howard Morris and has been promoted to series regular. At the same time. Grey’s Anatomy actor Jesse Williams is reported to be featuring in the new season as a documentarian.
