What Happened In Chapter 1068
One Piece Chapter 1068 shows Pythagoras greeting CPO as they dock at Egghead Island. The satellite stops them and Pythagoras extends their apologies to the government agents because of the island’s busy schedule they must return.
Rob Lucci then inquires about the incidents where various CPO ships have disappeared around Egghead island. Pythagoras obviously claims that they have no involvement in that, and all the ships that have ever docked at the island have safely left it without any problem.
Without any evidence and the sea beast surrounding them, CPO fails to move further and return to the ship. Lucci then tells everybody to prepare to leave the ship. Furthermore, calls Seraphim to use the power of warping them back to the island.
As soon as they reach the island, the ‘Sea Beast Weapon’ destroys the warheads. In Kamabakka Queendom, Kuma continued to run towards something and uses his devil fruit power to warp himself elsewhere.
Moving back to Egghead Island, Dr. Vegapunk talks about his dream of providing free energy to people all over the world and freeing the world from these senseless wars. He believes that distributing the energy in an accessible form may eliminate violence completely.
He goes on to tell Luffy that he can feel a new energy source in nature and is very close to finding the new source. Luffy has zero interest in this conversation. Therefore, goes back to the original question as to why the Doctor wants to leave Egghead.
The doctor then goes on to say that as he gets close to a new source, it brings him closer to finding the ancient energy source. Vegapunk is fascinated by the mysterious fuel used in the ancient Robot that nearly destroyed Mary Geoise 200 years ago.
Therefore, knows too much and is a threat due to which the World Government wants to target him. The Doctor then explains that he was hoping for Straw Hat’s protection in order to move further with his research.

Even though Kaku is hit, he gets away with a few burns. Atlas arrives and attacks Lucci, Shaka tells her to stop but by then Lucci has already destroyed half of her face. At the end of the chapter, Luffy and other group members carrying Bonney appear.
This is when Luffy and Lucci come face to face and become aware of each other’s presence.

The previous chapter ended with Luffy and Lucci coming face to face. This set the stage for an epic battle between the two. Although the two have fought before which resulted in Lucci losing. But this time things may be different as Lucci might have more power now.
Since Lucci was unaware of Straw Hat’s presence he will be caught off guard. There will be an epic battle between the two or the battle might not go on for long. As Luffy and others have to meet Doctor Vegapunk and leave soon.
They would cut the battle short and move on to their next destination. One Piece Chapter 1069 might also focus mostly on Rob Lucci as he is a strong fighter and has been promoted to CPO and holds a prestigious rank.
