The show stars newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a teenager from Jersey City who writes her own fanfiction (shiping her favoirite marvel idol Captain Marvel) and eventually lands herself with some unexpected powers.
The six-episode TV series focuses on Kamala coming to terms with her newly acquired powers and becoming a staple of the Marvel Universe.
