Will Smith’s Oscar incident has brought him a multitude of troubles, but one of them just came to light today. If you’ve been anticipating Will Smith’s upcoming movie ‘Fast and Loose,’ you’ll have to wait a bit longer.
You must recall the situation involving Chris Rock and Will Smith at the Oscars in 2022. It was the mishap that took out all of the ceremony’s spotlights.
Since then, many of Will’s supporters, friends, and colleagues have flipped against him. Will Smith did, in fact, slap Chris Rock in front of the audience on live television. And it’s all because Chris made a joke about Will’s loving wife.
After that, Chris continued with her performance and did his best to show that it was alright. Surprisingly, Chris Rock didn’t press any charges against Will Smith.
But looks like Will is still suffering from the actions he took during the ceremony.
Netflix Puts Will Smith’s Upcoming Movie, ‘Fast And Loose’ On Hold Following Oscars Incident
According to recent reports, Will Smith’s forthcoming thriller movie has been placed on hold by Netflix due to the Oscars 2022 slap incident.
The movie was supposed to star Smith as a crime boss who must puzzle together his life after experiencing memory loss as a result of an assault, finally discovering that he has had a double life as a terrible CIA agent.
The movie’s production was already tricky because it shed its director just before the Oscars, but now things are looking bleak for the movie’s destiny.
Fast And Loose was supposed to be directed by Deadpool 2 director David Leitch, but he dropped out just a week before the Oscars.
Well, now Fast and Loose is currently on hold. It appears that a variety of challenges must be resolved before the development of Fast and Loose can proceed.
Will Smith’s Another Upcoming Project ‘Bad Boys 4’ Is On Hold
The streaming platform has put a halt to other Hollywood projects, along with Fast and Loose. And yes, that project is actually related to Will Smith.
However, it was recently reported that Will Smith’s other starring movie, Bad Boys 4, has been delayed indefinitely as a consequence of the Oscars 2022 slap incident.
If you’ve been keeping up with the news, you must already know that despite Smith reading 40 pages of the script before the Slap incident, the production has been placed on hold.
Will Smith’s Resignation From The Academy
Another startling piece of news is that this announcement of the project halting coincided with Will Smith Academy’s departure. Smith will no longer be able to be a member of the academy.
Will Smith issued a statement about his behavior, which was included in the statement. The Academy has also acknowledged Will’s resignation, adding that “disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Smith for violations of the Academy’s Standards of Conduct” will continue.
