The second season of Inside Job has been canceled by Netflix, and fans are not happy with the news. This means the popular adult animated show will not feature a new story for its sequel on Netflix anymore.
The Show Creator Confirmed the Cancellation of Its Sequel
Following this sudden cancellation of Inside Job‘s upcoming sequel, the series creator Shion Takeuchi confirmed the news on her Twitter. She wrote: “I’m sorry guys, it’s true.”
In that social media post, she wrote: “I’m heartbroken to confirm that Netflix has decided to cancel Season 2 of Inside Job. Over the years, these characters have become real people to me, and I am devastated not to be able to watch them grow up. Reagan and Brett deserved to get their ending and finally find happiness. And I would have loved to been able to share what was in store with you all.”

She concludes by thanking fans: “To everyone who watched, thank you for coming along on the ride. Even though I’m sad, it helps to know that there’s people out there who cared just as much about these characters as me.”
As per PopCulture.com, the rumor of Inside Job‘s cancellation first came with a pair of now-deleted tweets from Chase Mitchell, one of the show’s writers. On Saturday, January 7, Mitchell wrote: “I hate posts like this but our show got canceled on Friday.”

Part 1 of Inside Job Season 1 was first launched on Oct. 22, 2021, with 10 episodes. Whereas part 2 consisted of 8 episodes after releasing on Nov. 18, 2022. The total number suggests a total of 18 episodes for the first season only. Even though the series received a green light for a sequel, Netflix has now decided to not move forward with the series.

What Is Inside Job’s Plot About?
Inside Job is a popular animated show on Netflix and is a creation of Shion Takeuchi. The plot follows the story of a top-secret organization in the US. In this world many of our world’s conspiracies are real. This particular world in the show is manipulated by 6 American shadow organizations which are Cognito Inc., the Illuminati, the Atlantians, the Reptoids, the Catholic Church, and the Juggalos. The series focuses on a tech genius, Reagan, and her new partner, with her dysfunctional co-workers at Cognito. Their sole purpose is creating chaos and burying all these world conspiracies with Cognito, a shadow government organization.
