Mission Impossible 7 and 8 Delayed: Now Expected to Release in 2023 and 2024

Don’t get into the Mission Impossible Mode just yet!

We bear bad news! Mission Impossible fans, stay strong.

Not sure how long this Covid is going to ruin things for us. It is just getting beyond tolerance; especially now that we have to wait so much for these most anticipated movies of all time.

Okay, coming back to basics. The Tom Cruise starrer, Mission Impossible will have to wait for some time.

Sorry for not mentioning but I will eventually get to it. The release dates are out too.

Something that we didn’t quite expect to hear but hey, blame Covid all you want, it has been ruining lives and entertainment.

Mission Impossible 7 & 8 – New Release Dates

The opening dates of Tom Cruise are going to see a new release date. It is now coming to us on July 14, 2023.

Previously, the dates set by Skydance and Paramount were September 30th, 2022.

Moreover, there is also a release date for Mission Impossible 8 which is now postponed to June 28th, 2024. The previous release for MI 8 was July 7th, 2023.

Mission Impossible 7 has seen the most number of delays so far. Originally, the release date was set for November 2021. The culprit behind the delay continues to remain the same.

Even before November 2021, MI 7 was scheduled for February 7th, 2020 release.

Mission Impossible 7 & 8

Soon later, due to Covid issues, it was postponed to September 2022. Well, now, we have to wait for another year.

Paramount and Skydance in their joint statement today said, “After thoughtful consideration, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have decided to postpone the release dates for Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 in response to delays due to the ongoing pandemic […] We look forward to providing moviegoers with an unparalleled theatrical experience.”

Don’t even get me started on the shifted days. It is just too much now.

Back in 2020, the reason that they notified the viewers about the delay was that the production was shut.

Many months later, Production got back on track.

Possible Reason for the Delay!

It wasn’t clearly brought to everyone’s attention. Paramount didn’t reveal the reason for escalating the delay of the movies.

As the current time is concerned, Mission: Impossible 8 is yet to start filming. Therefore, we can assume this to be the possible reason.

Furthermore, Mission Impossible 7 has had its own challenges that it was dealing with. Working in parallel to the pandemic is indeed difficult and it was tough for the cast and crew to cope.

Similar to that was Mission: Impossible 8 which was equally challenging. Now that the world is blowing up with the Omicron variant, there are many productions in Hollywood that are facing the heat.

Thankfully, this will pull some time for the production houses to bring things together.

In the previous installments of Cruise’s movies where Cruise did the needful with his life insurance company.

During his attempt from the top of Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest building in the world, he made sure to book his insurance.

After all, Tom Cruise and his stunts are something we look forward to in his MI movies, no?

What are your thoughts about the Delay? Feel like cursing COVID?
