American businessman Daymond John has worked with many companies and entrepreneurs over the years, however, his best partnership has been with his life partner, his wife Heather Taras. How did Daymond John and Heather Taras meet?
As of this moment, not much is known about how Daymond and Heather met each other and when they started dating. During an August 2020 interview with Contemporary Approaches, Taras stated that she had been with John for 14 years at that point.
On September 23, 2016, Heather took to her Instagram page to announce that she and Daymond were engaged. She simply captioned the post, “Engaged !” In the picture, she can be seen flaunting her engagement ring. They welcomed their first child together, daughter Minka Jagger during the same year.
While making a 2017 appearance on Harry Connick’s eponymous daytime talk show, Daymond spilled the beans on the proposal and said, “I was nervous I was proposing on set, but, really because, you know, my fiancée we’ve been together for many years, and she knows all the sharks. ”
The FUBU Ceo further added, “So I saw Kevin [O’Leary] in the corner whispering to her about royalties and all kind of stuff when I proposed.” He continued, “She said ‘yes,’ and I’m very happy about that.”
When did Daymond John and Heather Taras get married?
The pair walked down the aisle in 2018. The two lovebirds said, ‘I Do’ in June 2018 in a private ceremony at the same church John attended as a kid in Queens, New York. They got hitched in front of their closest friends and family members. Their daughter Minka also attended their wedding.
Daymond and Heather just celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary together. John revealed more details about his and Heather’s love story in an Instagram post that he shared two days ago in honor of their 5th wedding anniversary.
In the post, the Little Daymond Learns to Earn author wrote, “People think I met @heather__john as the guy people recognize from TV. Actually, we started dating 3 yrs prior to me getting a call from a show named Shark Tank that nobody heard of at the time.”
Daymond further added, “Heather and I got close because we are both private people. Our goals as a couple was to enjoy each other with as much privacy as possible. Shark Tank became a global phenomenon, social media exploded, reporters started prying into our lives, my travel went from 50 days a year to 250 days a year.”
The business tycoon continued, “Heather never signed up for this life. And no matter how glamorous it may appear. It’s a huge adjustment to be in the public eye.”
John went on to say, “When we got married. We wanted it to be just like we initially thought our life would be. Calm, private and out of the spotlight … No big lights and cameras. Just a small gathering of our beautiful friends and family as you can see from the pics of our mothers and my guys from the hood.”
Daymond and Taras also had a second wedding in Santorini, Greece. On January 1, 2019, Taras shared pictures from the pair’s Greece wedding day on her Instagram page.
“I had the honor to marry my best friend in 2018! What an exceptional year becoming Mrs. John! We had an intimate summer wedding in Santorini, Greece with family and friends,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Heather and Daymond welcomed their first baby together, daughter Minka Jagger in the year 2016. Their baby girl joined them earthside on March 2, 2016, which means she is 7 years old right now.
Along with Minka, John is also a proud father of two daughters: Yasmeen and Destiny from his previous relationship. While having a chat with People magazine in January 2018, he disclosed that he and Minka have playdates with his fellow Shark Robert Herjavec’s kids.

Yeah, you read that right. In recent years, Heather has posted many pictures of herself with Ice-T’s wife Coco Austin on her Instagram feed. The two couples have often been on vacations together with their kids.
It seems like the two families are pretty close. In the year 2021, both of their families spent some quality time together in the Bahamas. Heather even shared photos from the getaway on her Instagram page. “Clear water, warm weather, good food, great company,” she wrote alongside the series of snaps.
Taras and Austin even document the playdates on Instagram. Their daughters Minka and Chanel Nicole are close in age. The mother-daughter duos have even spent time together at the Nickelodeon Indoor Theme Park and the LEGOLAND New York Resort. All of them even dolled up together for Halloween.

In the past, Heather has openly talked about experiencing “autoimmune struggles” and the homeopathic remedies and treatments she uses to improve her symptoms. As per her Instagram bio, she follows a gluten-free diet.
Taras told Contemporary Approaches, “Weekly, I get a general Vitamin C IV drip with several homeopathics, a glutathione drip, and often I do Ozone with the UVB machine. For me, it makes the difference between having energy and being depleted for the week due to autoimmune struggles I deal with.”

Daymond’s ladylove Taras is a health freak. She has often spoken about her admiration for Dr. Oz who is a popular TV personality. In the last few years, she has even met him a few times. In the year 2019, she shared an anecdote about how she tried to refrain herself from bombarding him with health-related questions when she saw him in person.
In a 2019 Instagram post, Heather wrote, “So great running into @dr_oz ! I’m a huge fan of his. Having a small child I really don’t get time to properly watch TV shows anymore, but his show has always been my absolute favorite for as long as I can remember and he is such a wonderful person to talk to.”
She further added, “@thesharkdaymond gets pitched nonstop. He literally can’t have a regular conversation anymore without someone trying to angle in a pitch, sooooo I hold myself back! Hahahaha!! In general I love his show because I’m a health freak always wanting to know the latest/greatest cause/cure anything !!”

Heather Taras and her family like to go all out for Halloween. Her Instagram page also consists of a reel highlight that is solely dedicated to Halloween. It shows Daymond and his family’s Halloween costumes over the years.
In the year 2018, Heather decided to become Mummy Pig for Halloween as her daughter Minka Jagger was Peppa Pig. The next year, the mother-daughter duo went for matching Cleopatra costumes. On the other hand, when we talk about John, he dressed up as a character from the blockbuster movie Avatar. He painted his full face blue.
In 2021, Heather uploaded a snap of the family of three dressed up as superheroes. Daymond was Batman, Taras and the pair’s daughter Minka were Supergirl. In that same year, Taras dressed up as Cruella de Vil. In an Instagram post, she called it her “absolute favorite costume to date.”
