In a 2020 interview with Glamour magazine, Elizabeth revealed that she has worked hard to obtain a healthy body image. Debicki further added, “It’s shocking how systemic it’s been, how it’s come in your thinking. When I broke it down to when I was younger, a lot of it was what I thought I had to be something for someone else.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy star continued, “I look back at me when I was younger now with so much compassion and I think I was just doing my best, I was trying so hard, I was so hard on myself. I think I’m only really just starting to come into that place of letting go of that.”

Elizabeth Debicki didn’t overthink about playing Princess Diana in Netflix’s ‘The Crown’

Yes, you read that right. Elizabeth Debicki didn’t hesitate about playing the role of Princess Diana in Netflix’s show The Crown. In her latest interview with The Guardian, Elizabeth talked about playing the role of the late Princess of Wales in season 5 of The Crown.

Debicki also spoke about the pressure she felt while essaying the iconic character of Princess Diana, and the controversy that surrounds the show, based on the lives of the British royal family.

The Tenet star told the media outlet, “I went off instinct, and I didn’t overthink it. I’ve watched this show and loved it for years. I knew I was stepping into working with people who were extremely intelligent and very sensitive about how they went about creating the script and making decisions. So I never felt like I’d jumped on unstable ground.”
Elizabeth even revealed that The Crown‘s extensive research department, Corrin’s performance and meticulous scripts from the creator of the show Peter Morgan served as her inspiration in playing the role of Princess Diana.
Debicki spilled the beans on portraying the inimitable princess and went on to say, “Suddenly what feels like a vast field of information is very quickly, extremely narrowed down to existing within the framework that Peter [Morgan] has built for you. It was a huge relief. I remember thinking, now my responsibility is to bring to life what he has written, and his interpretation of these events and these people.”
