On Thursday, the 32-year-old took to his Instagram to share a lovely picture of himself and his mom. In the photo, Kelly and his mom can be seen sitting cross-legged and leaning into each other while flashing hand signs with big smiles.
The American rapper has a good fan following on the social networking service Instagram. At this moment, he has around 9.6 million followers on Instagram. “introducing … my mom”, he captioned the post. He also added a red heart and flame emoji in the caption.
We must say Machine and his mom look absolutely the cutest in the photograph shared by the rapper on the social media platform. Kelly has two middle fingers up in the photo whereas his mom can be seen doing a peace sign.
Kelly opened up about his mom in his song ‘Burning Memories’
Machine Gun Kelly aka Colson Baker was born on April 22, 1990, in Houston to missionary parents. His mother abandoned him when he was merely nine years old. It took a toll on him and his dad and for decades he was not able to forgive her. He reconnected with his mother last year and credited his fans for their union.
Kelly shared his childhood trauma in his 2019 song Burning Memories. The track is from his fourth studio album Hotel Diablo. The song begins with the lyrics, “Yeah, this one’s for the mama that I never knew (Never knew); I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you.”
Colson later raps in the song, “How’d you leave your only child at nine for another dude?; Took that pain and punched my father in the stomach ’til he bled.”
The rapper added, “All the years that you ignored me, left me sleepless in the bed; I hope that he got some kids because your only son is dead.” Kelly’s revealed in July of 2020 that his father passed away on the one-year anniversary of the release of Hotel Diablo.
