Louis Vuitton announces Zendaya as its newest ambassador
Zendaya who has starred in movies such as Spiderman: No Way Home, Spiderman: Far From Home, and The Greatest Showman, amongst many others, has become the Parisian fashion house’s newest house ambassador.
The Emmy-winning star is the new face of Louis Vuitton’s classic Capucines bag which was launched nearly a decade ago. This handbag is named after the Rue des Capucines, the Parisian street where Louis Vuitton opened it’s first store way back in the year 1854.
The Capucines bag consists of distinctive side rings, detachable straps, and reversible flaps. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that these bags are both elegant as well as practical.
For LV’s latest campaign, Zendaya can be seen looking stunning in black and white outfits and posing with the handbag in its various colorways which were captured at the French Riviera by photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
What did Zendaya have to say about Louis Vuitton’s Capucines handbag?
During her latest interview with Vogue, the Dune star who is a fashion icon herself talked about the Capucines bag. She said, “It’s really beautifully made and durable. If I buy something I want it to really last me.”
Zendaya went on to say, “I’m not always the most responsible bag owner, so I might be throwing it around, it might get some real wear in it, you know, because I want to really use it, and it feels so sturdy.”
The American actress also told the magazine, “I remember growing up around LV campaigns. There was this one that I loved from the early 2000s of Naomi Campbell, and she’s like sprawled out over a trunk. I can still see it. I can see the image in my head and I remember seeing it in magazines as a kid.”

In March 2023, the Euphoria actress was clicked by the paps while sitting in the front row at the Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2023 show which took place in Paris. At that time, Zendaya was photographed with Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors Emma Stone and Ana de Armas.
Last month, the Hollywood actress even shared a few pictures of herself all dolled up for Louis Vuitton Women’s Fall-Winter 2023 show on her Instagram page. “Look who came with me to Paris…,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
