What Can We Expect From Joker 2?
“Joker”, which was released in 2019, was directed by Todd Phillips, and also featured Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Frances Conroy, among others. Written by Phillips and Scott Sliver (returning as a writer of Joker 2), the movie became the highest-grossing R-rated film in history, with over $1 billion worldwide. “Joker” received several accolades, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and two Oscars (out of 11 nominations).
As for Joker 2, while most details have been kept under wraps, let’s assess the movie from the period in which the “Joker” franchise is set in. In the sequel, Harley (Gaga) will be far more removed from the “fantastical elements” that Margot Robbie’s version in the DCEU. FYI, this will be an incarnation of Harley, who never had any history with the Suicide Squad.
In the new still, Gaga can be seen clasping Phoenix’s face as he smiles at her. And let’s not forget, both have blood stains on their face. While Batman won’t be in the picture, the movie revolves around Harley and Joker’s Story, mostly in terms of how they get together. But one thing is sure, fans would not be left thirsty for action! So yea, there’s a lot to look forward to in this new interpretation.
