Lady Amelia Spencer, The Niece Of Princess Diana, Weds Greg Mallett On A South African Mountaintop Ceremony

Lady Amelia Spencer, the niece of the late Princess Diana, had a beautiful wedding ceremony on a mountaintop in South Africa. The bride and groom, Greg Mallett, exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family.

The couple’s union was made even more special as they were joined by some of Princess Diana’s family members who had come to celebrate this special occasion with them.

The Niece Of Princess Diana Has Married Longtime Boyfriend Greg Mallett

Lady Amelia Spencer, the niece of Princess Diana, has tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Greg Mallett, at an extravagant mountain top ceremony in which they exchanged vows. During the couple’s 14th anniversary celebrations, they celebrated their love at La Cotte Farm near Cape Town, South Africa, a farm that has been a part of the family for generations.

Amelia posted a picture on her Instagram handle of both of them, mentioning in the caption, “not Long Now.”

“It means so much to get married here. Growing up together for the last 14 years, all of my and Greg’s happiest times as a couple are here. So it’s even more special now.” Amelia, 30, said in an interview with Hello! Magazine on Tuesday. Lady Eliza, Amelia’s twin sister, was also in attendance along with her sister Lady Kitty and Samuel’s brother, who were also among the family members.

Moreover, it was also reported that the bride’s father and Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, did not attend his daughter’s big day, which several media outlets reported. The reason for this is still a mystery. Several other royal family members may have participated in the weddings, although it is unclear whether they did.

Meghan Markle’s Style Playbook Inspired Amelia’s Pre-Wedding Look

Even though royal fans will need to wait for the dress she wore on her big day, her pre-wedding outfit is right out of Meghan Markle’s playbook. As seen in pictures shared by friends of Princess Diana’s model niece, Spencer, who was overheard in the backseat wearing an elegant white silk gown with a halter neckline tied in a bow, and her hair slicked back into a bun that she later reposted, the 30-year-old bride wears an elegant white silk gown with a halter neckline tied in a bow in the back.

With Diana’s aquamarine ring at the end of the dress, the Duchess of Sussex wore a timeless Stella McCartney gown to the royal wedding reception with Prince Harry in 2018 and her Stella McCartney dress. There is no doubt Spencer is a fan of the halter-neck style, as she shared a picture with her soon-to-be husband on Instagram of her wearing the similar Reformation Alani Silk Dress ($398).

It has been reported that Meghan Markle’s Stella McCartney reception dress proved so popular following the royal wedding that the designer produced and sold replicas of the dress.

About Lady Amelia Spencer

As a twin, Lady Katya Amelia Spencer came into the world on July 22, 1992, arriving in the world with her sister Lady Eliza Victoria Spencer, also born in London in 1992. The twins are the daughters of Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, the brother of Princess Diana, and Victoria Aitken, the first wife of Charles, 9th Earl Spencer.

A few months after Princess Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, Charles and Victoria divorced, months after the family moved to South Africa. This was after the family moved to South Africa in 1995. Lady Amelia grew up in South Africa with her siblings, but she traveled to the United Kingdom on occasion to attend royal events in the United Kingdom.

Although her mother and siblings attended the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle together, Amelia was not pictured at the happy occasion. Amelia seems remarkably close to her aunt Diana even though she was only five when Diana passed away.

As a testament to both her aunt’s legacy and the love she holds for Greg Mallett, Lady Amelia’s wedding was a perfect celebration of both. Both bride and groom’s families could celebrate this special moment together on this magical day. Do you think the long-term couple made an excellent decision to be together?
