Kit Harington On Having A Second Baby With Rose, Responds To ‘GOT Spin-Off’ Rumours

Kit Harrington appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and shared a piece of great news with his fans. The 36-year-old actor, best known for playing Jon Snow on ‘GOT’, revealed that he is expecting a baby with his wife, Rose Leslie. Not only this, but the “Game Of Thrones” star also opened up about reprising the role of “Jon Snow” in the show’s spin-off.

Second Baby Is A Reality Check!

Kit Harrington is delighted at the moment! The “Game of Thrones” star appeared on “The Tonight Show” and indulged in some very interesting conversations with the host, Jimmy Fallon. Well, fans have not one, but two pieces of good news. Kit was asked by Jimmy, “How is your son doing?”

Kit, who already shares a son with Rose Leslie, responded, ” He is doing good. He is 2.” He joked We think he might be quite smart, considering the fact that we’re both actors, and it’s surprising.” Jimmy then asked, “You don’t want him to be an actor?” Kit stated that he loves applause, and every time he does something good, the family gives him applause and we’re worried that’s kind of pushing him towards acting.

Kit, however, added that his son might be too smart for acting so he believes that his son should just go and save the world. Kit revealed the biggest news after some chit-chat about his son. The “GOT” actor said, “He is about to get the shock of his life, he’s about to get a brother or sister.” As the crowd cheered, Jimmy congratulated Kit on having another baby with the love of his life.

“Are you excited, are you nervous,” Jimmy asked. The Golden Globe Award winner responded he is terrified by the news, of course in a good way. “You know with the first baby, you’re walking on clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for nine months, the dad does it of course,” he expressed. He added, “But this time the reality check comes on much shorter notice. You’re like you get practical real quick”

“What does your son think about the second baby,” Jimmy asked. On this, Kit responded that he thinks his son hasn’t quite understood it yet, but the couple is getting him ready for the new beginnings. “We point at Rose’s tummy and go, “Mommy’s baby”,” he added. But then, his son points at his tummy and says, “My baby, my baby.”

Kit Harrington has often opened up about his chemistry with his on-screen and off-screen partner, Rose Leslie. Previously, he opened up about her character, Ygritte who plays his first love in season two of “Game of Thrones.

“We first met having a costume fitting,” Harington said in a previous interview while laughing. “I remember she offered me a ginger biscuit and I went, ‘Yes please!’ I remember coming back home and saying to my best friend like, ‘Oh God, I think I found the one.'”

There is nothing better in life than falling in love with the person you are in love with on-screen,” he continued. “It’s just astonishing. Sorry to be smushy. But you fall in love and you never get that initial giddy feeling back, but you’ll have moments when you fall in love with each other again. The other day I reminded her of it — every time we think about it we grin.” Well, the couple is tight and now welcoming their second child!

Is ‘GOT’ Spin-Off Happening?

Jimmy Fallon asked Kit Harington about the “Game Of Thrones” convention that he recently attended in Los Angeles. What is it like for you to go to these conventions,” the host curiously asked. Kit responded, “It was a bit like going back in time. It’s only been four years or something and I went to it, and it’s nice seeing the fans and it’s kind of amazing that the show has still got such a fan base.”

Jimmy curiously asked, “There are rumours out there that there is a “GOT” spin-off that features your character Jon Snow. Is it happening?” Kit cryptically responded, “Well, I don’t know, do you want it to happen?” Jimmy stated that everyone would love that to happen. Kit revealed that he cannot say anything about that. Jimmy then interrupted and asked, “What’s stopping you from doing that?”

Kit responded, “You know I walk down the street and I get recognised a little less nowadays and it kind of hurts my ego.” Kit kept playing with his words and then mentioned that he is pretty close to putting down on his furs. “So what would it take for you to do this spin-off series?” Jimmy asked.

Kit responded that he has got a tally in his head about how less photos he gets asked for in a day. “And when it gets below the certain number, I think I’ll do a spin-off,” Kit jokingly added. Well, he may have not opened up about the spin-off, but we know something is surely cooking.

Now, if you’re a GOT fan, you must know, “What is dead may never die”, a  phrase used by followers of the Drowned God on the Iron Islands, that found new meaning on the blog of A Song of Ice and Fire author and House of the Dragon co-creator George R.R. Martin.

In his blog post, the author revealed that numerous Game of Thrones spinoff shows are in the works. Those include a Jon Snow series, a Corlys Velaryon series, a show focused on Princess Nymeria, a Dunk and Egg buddy comedy, and an animation project.

Some of those are moving faster than others, as is always the case with development,” Martin Martin wrote in a post. “None have been greenlit yet, though we are hoping… maybe soon. A couple of them have been shelved, but I would not agree that they are dead. You can take something off the shelf as easily as you can put it on the shelf. All the changes at HBO Max have impacted us, certainly.”

But again, Kit Harrington, reprising his role as Jon Snow seems like the safest way to bring fans back for even more Thrones, so the popular character’s long-awaited sequel series might not get slashed.
