Kelly Clarkson is heading for a residency in Las Vegas! The singer has announced a 10-date residency named Chemistry…An Intimate Night with Kelly Clarkson. The event is named after the 40 year old’s upcoming album, which was announced on March 26.
This will be Clarkson’s first official string of concerts almost four years after the 2019’s Meaning of Life Tour. The residency is set to take place at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Bakkt Theater.
Kelly Clarkson Announces 10-Date Las Vegas Residency
The shows will take place from July 29 through August 19 at the Bakkt Theater, formerly Zappos Theater. “I am so excited for these shows and couldn’t think of a better place to get back on stage than Las Vegas,” Clarkson said in her official statement.
She continued, “The crowds in Vegas are such an amazing collection of people that simply want to have a great time, and that’s what we’re going to do! So many of my musical idols have had, and still have, incredible residencies on The Strip. I’m so excited to create my own!”
“It’s nice to be doing a full show. I worked really hard on this record and it took me a while to figure out if I was actually going to put it out. Once I decided, I wanted to sing this live and to feel that energy from the crowd. I have a lot of jobs and also I obviously want to spend some time with my kids this summer so I agreed to do 10 shows,” Clarkson added.
Teasing the setlist, the first American Idol winner said, “I’ll be singing all of your favorites… and yes, I’ll be singing some new ones, too!” She was earlier supposed to have the Invincible residency at the same theater in April 2020; however, it was canceled due to the pandemic.

Clarkson also Announced Her New Album Chemistry
On Sunday, the singer announced the title of her upcoming album as, Chemistry. She also revealed that the new music is inspired by her emotional journey following her divorce from her former husband, Brandon Blackstock, in 2020.
“It’s called Chemistry because I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing ’cause I didn’t want everybody to think that I was just coming out with some just like, ‘I’m angry. I’m sad,’ just one or two emotions. This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn’t be just brought down to one thing,” Clarkson said.
“So there’s the good, the bad, the ugly thing kinda going on in it. Chemistry can be a really amazing sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you. I thought it was kinda the perfect title to describe the entire album,” she added.
