Kanye West and Ice Cube End Their Feud Months After Anti-Semitism Controversy

It seems like Kanye West and Ice Cube have resolved their issues! Not long ago, the West Coast rapper denied being a source of inspiration for the Yeezy designer’s anti-Semitic remarks last year.

The two music stars were recently clicked by the paps while smiling and hugging outside of the It Was a Good Day singer’s home. Continue reading further to know more details about the latest sighting of Kanye West and Ice Cube.

Kanye West and Ice Cube patch up months after fallout over the anti-Semitism controversy

On Friday, June 2, 2023, the Ni**as in Paris rapper was snapped out and about with the famed musician Ice Cube whose real name is O’Shea Jackson Sr. In the past, the two of them had a fallout over the anti-semitism controversy. However, it looks like they have sorted out their differences now.

Kanye and Cube were spotted smiling and hugging outside the You Know How We Do It rapper’s house in Marina Del Rey, California. West looked in great spirits before he left Cube’s house in his car.

For the meet-up, the Donda rapper was dressed up in an all-black ensemble. He rocked a black short-sleeve shirt and black pants. He completed his look with a pair of black sock shoes, which he has been snapped wearing on various occasions.

On the other hand, when we talk about Cube, he opted for a black hoodie and a pair of black jeans. He complimented his look with Nike sneakers and his signature LA Dodgers baseball cap.

The reunion of the duo comes almost 7 months after West made anti-Semitic remarks during his infamous October 2022 appearance on the Drink Champs podcast. In that particular episode of the podcast, Kanye claimed that Cube had “really influenced” him to “get on this anti-Semite vibe.”

Ice Cube debunked the claims made by Kanye West

Shortly after the episode was released, Ice came forward to shut down the claims made by the Can’t Tell Me Nothing rapper. Last October, Ice tweeted, “I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bulls–t. I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him.“

The N.W.A rapper went on to say, “I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk. I’m not antisemitic and never have been.” In December of the same year, Cube again stated that he shouldn’t be blamed for the anti-Semitic remarks made by Kanye West.

While making an appearance on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson show, the Friday actor said, “Like, homie. You gotta stand on this one on your own. That’s all that was about. You know, I didn’t say nothin’. It’s just, at the end of the day, I just had to let everybody know that don’t blame me for s–t.”

He further added, “Talk your s–t if you want to, but don’t blame me for s–t. If I ain’t up there speaking for myself, don’t blame me.”

Kanye West was previously booted from Instagram and Twitter due to his anti-Semitic comments

Yeah, you read that right. In October 2022, the Good Morning rapper was suspended from the social media platform Twitter due to his vile anti-Semitic remarks. Just a couple of hours before getting suspended by the micro-blogging site, he put out a bizarre rant on his Twitter page.

At that time, Kanye popularly known by his fans as ‘Ye’ tweeted, “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Later on, a source told The Post, that West’s account “has been locked due to a violation of Twitter’s policies.” Apart from this, he was also suspended from the social media platform Instagram last year because of his anti-Semitic comments. He was knocked off Instagram for making anti-Jewish remarks.

In a since-deleted screenshot of an iMessage, West accused Diddy whose real name is Sean Love Combs of being controlled by Jews. Then, Diddy told Kanye “to stop playing these internet games.”

West chimed in and said, “This ain’t a game. Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”

While having a conversation with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, the 45-year-old rapper mentioned that he was shocked at the uproar over him wearing the shirt. At that time, West said, “They’re looking for an explanation — as an artist, you don’t have to give an explanation, but as a leader, you do.”

The All of the Lights musician went on to say, “So the answer to why I wrote ‘White Lives Matter’ on a shirt is they do. It’s an obvious thing.” He further added, “I thought the shirt was a funny shirt. I thought the idea of wearing it was funny. And I said, ‘Dad, why do you think it’s funny?’ And he said, ‘Just a black man stating the obvious.’ ”

Many companies like Adidas and Gap ended their partnership with Kanye West due to his anti-Semitic remarks

Gap and Adidas cut ties with the Praise God rapper over the anti-Semitic controversy. At that time, the German sportswear brand issued a statement that read, “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

In a statement issued, Kanye’s attorney Nicholas Gravante said, “Gap left Ye no choice but to terminate their collaboration agreement because of Gap’s substantial noncompliance. Ye had diligently tried to work through these issues with Gap both directly and through counsel. He has gotten nowhere.”
