K-Drama Island Episode 5 and 6 Release Date

The latest trending fantasy and horror K-drama “Island” has already engaged the fans crazy with its excellent cinematography, story, and star cast. The first 4 episodes have made the fans eager to know what to expect from the season 1 finale of “Island”.

K-drama star Cha Eunwoo is acting as a charming priest, but not as the main lead. Kim Nam Gil and Lee Da Hee are sharing the screen as the protagonists of the story. The drama is a joint effort of TVING and Amazon Prime Video and has already become one of the most highly anticipated Korean Dramas of 2023.

When and Where to Watch Island Episodes 5 and 6?

Island is available to watch on the streaming platform, TVING in South Korea. But Amazon Prime Video has the streaming rights of the show for global audiences.

Episodes 5 and 6 will be released together on Friday, January 13 at 12 pm on Korean Standard time. Later the English-subbed version of the drama will be available on Amazon Prime with English subtitles for global viewers around 12.30 pm KST.

Surprisingly, Island will have a total of 6 episodes. Every week the fans get to see two episodes every Friday for three weeks.

What to Expect From Episodes 5 and 6?

The official plot synopsis on Prime Video suggests: “Evil took its first step to destroy the world. On the mysterious island of Jeju Island, the gateway to this, “Van,” a mix of human and monster, “Won Mi-ho,” the one in the center of fate, and “Johan,” the one who exercises God’s power, come together. A strange, yet captivating, action-packed exorcism fantasy in which they fight evil, share the fate of saving the world, and defy their own…”

As for now, there are no previews from TVING for the final two episodes of “Island” yet. The official TVING Youtube channel has already released a few short clips of episodes 3 and 4.

However, in episodes 3 & 4, we get to see Won Miho and Yohan will try to find a missing schoolgirl together. But they ended up finding that girl has made a deal with Benjulle to kill her abusive and blackmailing boyfriend. We also get to see a little tease of Van’s brother Goong Tan with his “mysterious voice”.

Two Massive Fight Scenes in Episode 4

Both episodes 3 and 4 showed some great fight scenes and also teased how Van is gradually falling in love with Won Miho again. But Yohan has other ideas as he is protecting Won Miho for different and selfish reasons.

At the end of episode 4, Van and Yohan had a massive fight. Yohan got the upper hand and captured Van. The young priest forces Van to release his inner Lust Devil to kill him. But at that moment Won Miho came to that place and was stabbed by the uncontrolled enraged version of Van’s blade. The episode ended by showing the history repeating how Van stabbed Wonjewong, the past life of Won Miho.

Both the 5th and 6th episodes may explore more about Van’s past and why he ended up killing Wonjewong despite loving her.
