During his tour, he will be performing at arenas around the country with only acoustic and electric guitars and a piano to accompany him.

John Mayer announces he’s heading on a solo acoustic tour this Spring
On Thursday, the Your Body is a Wonderland singer took to his Instagram page to announce that he is going on his first solo acoustic tour this Spring. He revealed his tour dates on Instagram.
John started by writing, “I’m going on a solo arena tour. I began my career on stage with only a guitar and a microphone. A lot has changed since then, but I knew one day I’d feel it in my heart to do an entire run of shows on my own again, just like those early days.”
The musician went on to say, “It took a couple of decades, but I feel it now. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing — all on acoustic, electric, and piano.”
When will John Mayer kick off his first solo acoustic tour?
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, John will kick off his first solo acoustic tour on March 11 in Newark, New Jersey. Throughout the tour, he will be stopping by nearly 18 cities. He will conclude his tour in Los Angeles, California on April 14.
During the tour, the Slow Dancing in a Burning Room crooner will be joined by Lizzy McAlpine and Alec Benjamin. Along with Lizzy and Alec, John will also be joined by a very special guest on some dates of the tour whose name has not been announced as of yet. We know at the moment, all the fans of the musician must be jumping with excitement.
Tickets for John Mayer’s solo acoustic tour go on sale in February
In his lengthy Instagram caption, Mayer added, “Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, February 3 at 9 AM local time. Presales start Wednesday, February 1, at 9 AM local time and run through Thursday, February 2, at 10 PM. Sign up to access presale tickets now at johnmayer.com.”
The artist concluded the Instagram post by writing, “Hope to see you there…John.” As soon as he put out the post, many of his famous friends flooded the comments section to express their excitement.
Model Gigi Hadid simply inserted two exclamation marks in the comments. Alec Benjamin wrote, “LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO.” Dean Delray dropped a couple of fire emojis in the comments section of the post.
Zane Carney added, “This is gonna be insane!!!
