Jeezy and Jeannie Mai are pulling the plug on their marriage! As per a report by TMZ, the Atlanta rapper recently filed for divorce from his wife Jeannie Mai in Fulton County Superior Court.

Yeah, you read that right. Jeezy and Jeannie Mai are heading in the direction of divorce after 2 years of marriage. On Thursday, the rapper paid a visit to the court and filed for divorce from his wife of 2 years, Jeannie Mai.
It has been reported by the media outlet, that the Put On rapper and The Real host’s marriage is “irretrievably broken” and there is “no hope for reconciliation.” Jeezy is asking for the joint legal custody of the pair’s 1-year-old daughter, Monaco. The duo who was married for two and a half years had a prenuptial agreement in place.
When did Jeezy and Jeannie Mai get married?
For the unversed, the All There emcee, and the Emmy winner said, ‘ I Do’ in the year 2021. The couple walked down the aisle in March 2021. They got hitched at their Atlanta home during the Covid-19 pandemic.
At that point in time, all of the wedding guests were tested two days before the wedding. During an interview with Vogue, she said, “We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to celebrate. But we had to change all of our wedding plans due to COVID. After Jeezy’s mother unexpectedly passed, we quickly learned that life is too short.”
Mai went on to say, “And at the end of the day, Jeezy and I really just wanted to become husband and wife. So we decided to turn our original wedding into a mini-mony, where we exchanged our vows in front of our immediate family and a few close friends.”
The Lose My Mind emcee and the American television host welcomed their first child together, daughter Monaco, in January 2022. However, the pair didn’t introduce their baby girl to the world until five months after her birth. Along with this, Jeezy also has three other children.
The pair celebrated their second wedding anniversary earlier this year in March. Then, they took a trip to Vietnam that Mai had organized for her husband.
Then, Jeannie told People magazine, “When Jeezy and I met, we bonded over the similarities and differences of our cultures. Now that we have a daughter, blending our worlds, it gives even more meaning to explore Vietnam together as a multicultural family.”
