As per a report by New York Post, on Sunday, Ivana Knöll who is a model stepped out in a strapless red to watch the game between Croatia and Canada at Khalifa International Stadium. At the end of the day, Croatia defeated Canada by 4-1.
The Croatian fan took to her Instagram to share a few snaps of herself wearing the red and white checkered ensemble near the pitch. According to the country’s tourism authority, the visitors of Qatar are expected to show “respect for the local culture by avoiding excessively revealing clothing in public.”
The country’s tourism authority states that both men and women should cover their knees and shoulders. Ivana also uploaded a video of herself that showed her posing in the stands for FIFA World Cup cameras. She simply captioned the clip, “am I dreaming?”
Prior to that, on Wednesday, the model turned heads in a similar revealing look at Al Bayt Stadium. At that point, she donned a plunging dress to support Croatia in their eventual draw against Morocco, 0-0.
Ivana has described the Qatari-organized event as a ‘disaster’
Before the Group F match, the Knöll Doll swimwear founder posted a series of snaps of herself both in and outside the venue on the social media platform Instagram. On that same day, she referred to the Qatari organized event as a “disaster” in a post on her Instagram story amid several controversies surrounding the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to a report by the U.S. Sun, the model took to her Instagram Story and said, “This is a disaster! I feel sorry for all the people who can’t go to the World Cup because of the worst organization in history.”
Ivana also talked about how some in her party didn’t get their ‘Hayya’ cards, the personalised document required by all visitors attending World Cup matches in Qatar.
She went on to say, “My entourage didn’t get a Hayya card even after 20 days, even though they have all the tickets to the final. All our friends too!” She further added, “It’s clear why so many people didn’t even want to participate in this circus!”
The Qatar World Cup has been hit with many controversies since the time it was awarded the tournament in the year 2010. In the last couple of weeks, we have heard reports about disorganization in the official facilities. We must say, it’s a big deal to organize an event like FIFA World Cup.
