Is Jenna Ortega gay?

Jenna’s statements during a latest interview led to gay rumors swirling in the air. Her remarks convinced the fans that she is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

In an interview with TV Insider, Ortega referred to her co-star Gwendoline Christie as her ‘wife’. She said, “My woman. I love you. Sorry, that might be disrespectful, but that is my nickname for her. ‘Cause she’s my wife. Sorry, I look at you, I get so, I get – my heart.”

Jenna Ortega recently revealed why her character Wednesday Addams is seen as a gay icon

In a recent interview with Gayety, Jenna was asked why she thinks her character Wednesday Addams is seen as a gay icon. She said, “I think because she’s a badass.”

The Wednesday star told the media outlet, “She’s cool, she’s got a nice sense of style, but she’s somebody who embraces her differences and isn’t out to please anybody. I feel like that’s a really, really powerful thing to see. I feel like people want to see powerful women with powerful women.”

A couple of users think Wednesday as a character may be queer or asexual herself. In the series Wednesday, the character of Wednesday Addams has two male love interests, the first is Xavier and the other is Tyler. However, she isn’t particularly interested in either of them.

While having a chat with MTV News, Jenna spilled the beans on her character Wednesday Addams and stated that she herself doubts that Wednesday will date Xavier in season 2 of the show.

Ortega told the publication, “Now that Tyler’s off the table, I feel like she’s off of boys for a while. I feel like her and Xavier are just getting to a safe place. I think there’s an opportunity there for a really sweet platonic relationship.”

Soon after, Jenna further added, “Because I don’t think it’s shown often enough, men and women having safe platonic relationships that don’t become romantic and are just genuine, almost sibling like relationships. I think that’d be wonderful to see.”

  1. The LGBTQIAFGHGFDFGGH or whatever letters they use now community isn’t happy unless everyone is gay.
I hope this fad ends some day. Its disgusting.

    • bro why did you go on and look for this then and its LGBTQIA not whatever you did. Also, humans are all queer unless they perfectly fit in the Cis and Heterosexual box because people have feelings for lots of different people, Some Straight and Cis dudes could have a feeling for another guy and that doesn’t mean he’s not Heterosexual it just means he’s not perfectly Hetero. Same with a Cis girl even when you question your gender Identity or imagine what it would feel like to be the opposite gender or you feel like the opposite gender for a day just means that you aren’t perfectly in the Box of Cis and Heterosexuality. The idea that being open about your Gender and sexuality isn’t a fad and has been happening for centuries to thousands of years.

    • Why do straight people have to shove there straightness in everyone’s faces all the time? We get it, don’t you straights have enough Christmas romcom movies and the bachelor/bachelorette seasons by now?

You see how silly that sounds? that’s what you sound like, the LGBT+ community has nothing to do with you and it does not effect you, so why do you care?

  2. Bro…Y’all are all disgusting, Like wtf Is wrong with y’all…And why is it disgusting? Gay people aren’t going to disappear And don’t even SAY it’s the generation for being Queer Has been A thing FOR a Long time, And it even goes back to the 1600’s? AND That’s all we know FROM History.

  3. Look. I’m not exactly sure what my sexuality is and I occasionally ship certain ppl (LGBTQ+ or not). But sometimes it just seems like people ship some people for no reason. Like I’m not completely against it but it’s like why not let two friends stay friends? I’ve been to many fandoms that literally ship EVERYONE just cause of one interaction or cause their friends. Shipping has its place, if it seems they are actually romantically interested then sure go ahead. But if no, like let’s say the Wednesday x Enid ship, where Enid clearly has a huge thing for Ajax, ahem making out what not. Why would people ship those two? I can admit they look cute together. Personally I think romance ruins Wednesday’s personality, I was pretty annoyed with Tyler like back off she’s just built that way. And once again, Enid clearly has a boyfriend. Some ships make sense, some don’t. It’s fine to just play your fantasy in your head, I just think it’s strange to ship people who clearly aren’t more than friends.

  4. Loved this series. Have told everyone I know to watch. Have sent the vid of the dance to many! This young woman rocked this part.

  5. I won’t watch the show anymore if she’s gay. I’m sick of Hollywood always making Latin people gay, go make a white person gay.
