The 52-year-old also talked about her pet dog Gertrude Stein and she described her pet as a retirement gift from dating. She said, “That dog? That was my retirement gift… I did go on some dates and this guy was like ‘You have to come to my house because I have a dog.’ And I was like, ‘I’m getting a dog, that’s the trick.’ Now it’s on my terms.”

Soon afterward, Adam discussed about Julie’s crush on former One Direction member Harry Styles. The Life of the Party actress confessed that she can break her dating hiatus for As It Was singer Harry Styles.
Bowen further added, “You’re asking me if I’d come out of [dating] retirement for Harry Styles? Oh, hell yeah. Him? Look at him!” While the two of them were talking, Harry’s photographs popped up on the screen, Julie also stated that she gets distracted by his butterfly tattoos.
Julie couldn’t help but rave over the rock star for his work and energy. She continued, “He’s just bringing the joy and the light and the Watermelon Sugar. You just feel good about the whole experience.”
At the moment, Harry is dating Olivia Wilde and Julie is reportedly single. Bowen was married to real estate investor and software developer Scott Phillips before.

Julie Bowen and Scott Phillips tied the knot on September 9, 2004. The former couple shares three kids. Julie gave birth to the pair’s child, a son in April 2007. The duo named their first kid, Oliver McLanahan Phillips, who is 15 years old now.
The former couple’s twins arrived in the world in May of 2009. Julie was pregnant with her twin boys when she was shooting for the pilot of Modern Family. The names of their twin boys are as follows: John Phillips and Gustav Phillips. Julie and Scott’s twins are 13 years old now.

The split rumors of the pair began swirling in the air in 2016 when Bowen did not attend the Emmys with her husband for the first time since her attendance. Sadly, that was also the day when the two of them had their wedding anniversary.
During an earlier interaction with People magazine at that time, the American Dad actress debunked the split rumors of the pair and Julie stated that Scott couldn’t attend the Emmys with her due to his commitment to a tennis tournament.
Bowen told the publication, “He’s come every year, he’s been so supportive … and I wasn’t nominated as an individual, so I said, ‘What do you want to do on our anniversary?'” In the same interview, she joked around and went on to say that she does not remember much of her married life with Scott.
Julie further added, “Honestly I only remember up until we had the kids. Then you’re like, ‘What?’ Twelve years. We’ve had children for nine. So I remember the first three years, the rest of it is like a blackout.”
Just a week after the 2016 Emmys, the couple marked their presence at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 47th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards together. During the event, Julie told US Weekly, that the duo was too tired to ponder over the thought of separation.
Then, Julie told the media outlet, “We watch all these people get married and split up and go, ‘Wait, did they get married after us or before us?’ We outlast all these people.”

In February 2018, People broke the news that the couple had decided to go their separate ways. Nearly a couple of days later, TMZ reported that Julie Bowen had filed for divorce from Scott Phillips. Their divorce got finalized on September 13, 2018.
As per the report of Daily Mail, the pair agreed to split their $25 million worth of fortune including assets and cash. According to the court documents of Julie and Scott, Bowen bagged a little more than $13 million in her kitty.
