A year after his popular track “President Roley,” singer Imran Khan releases “Knightridah.”

The Punjabi artist from the Netherlands is back with his signature blend of Punjabi hip-hop, house, Dancehall, and R&B. The title of the track is a nod to his famous track “Amplifiya” where he says “I’m a knight rida” in the chorus.

The music video features his usual touch of featuring fast luxury cars and beautiful dancers but he adds a futuristic dimension. In just over two weeks, the video has garnered over 4 million views.

Khan is the urban desi music pioneer that put Punjabi music on the map. His debut album “Unforgettable” was released in 2009 and the songs are still on #repeat for us.

He made Punjabi urban music “cool” with his slow-motion music videos that were overly dramatic. The artist often sits on a throne in his videos as the king of his music genre. He cleverly uses metaphors to make a statement with his lyrics.

Khan has his own record label, IK Records, his own merchandise and was recently presented with a YouTube award for passing one million subscribers. He has also been teasing a new album for quite some time and rumor has it, he might finally release it in 2019.
