After the news of their separation came out, a Broadway insider told the media outlet that they weren’t surprised at all and went on to say, “It happened a while ago. Friends and family knew about it.”

It’s over between Hugh Jackman and his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness! An insider told Page Six, that there have been some problems between the couple for a while even before Jackman returned to Broadway in February 2022 for The Music Man.
The source said, “Deb wasn’t at rehearsals very much” and that she “was even spotted snoozing during some of them.” The insider also mentioned that a third was not involved and they had simply morphed into “roommates.”

The statement read, “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
They further added, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The statement concluded, “Deb and Hugh Jackman. This is the sole statement either of us will make.” The former couple shares a total of two kids: a son named Oscar, 23, and a daughter, Ava, 18.
