Time for some action blockbuster.
Top Gun Maverick, starring our favorite lead character, Tom Cruise, is back for more undertaking. Not some, but plenty.
After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s leading aviators, Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell is back where he belongs, pushing the boundaries as a gutsy test pilot while avoiding progression in a position that would ground him.
Maverick must encounter the darkness of his past and his fears and insecurities while training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, ultimately resulting in an endeavor that requires the supreme sacrifice from those who choose to fly it.
The media coverage of another Tom Cruise movie is thrilling, and everyone wants to know where they can watch it. We’ve got you covered in that case.
Where To Watch Top Gun Maverick?
Paramount Pictures has scheduled a theatrical release in the United States on May 27, 2022, in IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema. You know what that means: if you want to see the movie, you’ll have to make more plans with your friends or family.
Because the movie will exclusively be released in theatres. Put on your most comfortable clothes, grab some popcorn, and watch it on the big screen.
The movie was also screened in an Official Selection Screening on May 18 at the Cannes Film Festival, where it garnered a five-minute overwhelming response from the audience. In the end, it’s Top Gun Maverick starring Tom Cruise.
How To Watch Top Gun Maverick Online?
We understand completely. We don’t always want to go to the theatre to see a movie. However, we prefer to watch it from the comfort of our own homes via a streaming platform.
Well, in that case, readers should be aware of something. Both Netflix and Apple TV+ apparently attempted to acquire the movie’s distributorship, presumably because we know it will be a huge deal.
However, Paramount refused to sell them the movie. When questioned about them and other streaming platforms trying to buy the movie’s streaming rights at the movie’s premiere at CinemaCon, Bruckheimer stated that there was no other choice to refuse. And that the movie had always been a big-screen getaway.
“I felt, and so did Tom [Cruise], this was a movie for theaters — that’s why we made it,” said Bruckheimer. Adding, “That’s how the first one became a success.”
The producer stated, “We wanted it to be a big experience, and you felt it today with the laughter and cheers; it’s a communal experience.”
Brian Robbins, CEO of Paramount Pictures, was also asked about the movie’s theatrical ruling, and he mentioned something.
“What I know is that movies which are theatrical that have a big marketing campaign, have a greater impact on our streaming than movies that skip theatrical and go straight to streaming.”
In addition, at the Paramount lunch following the movie’s screening, Bruckheimer thanked the exhibitors. “Thank you for keeping your theatres open.”
As a result, going to the cinema is the best option. And at the time being, the movie will only be available in theatres.
Will The Movie Ever Be Available On A Streaming Platform?
We know you have this doubt as well. We believe that the movie will be available on the distributed streaming platform after its lengthy theatrical run. Yes, we’re referring to Paramount Plus.
Paramount Pictures, which is possessed by the same parent company as Paramount Plus, distributes the movie. Though no official confirmation or release date has been announced.
We will have to wait for a while for more knowledge. We may have to wait approximately 45 days after the movie’s theatrical run wraps up.
In the meantime, you’re welcome to share your thoughts on this movie below. And we will keep you posted on any further developments of the online release.
