Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are all set to entertain the audience by stepping into the plastic shoes of Barbie and Ken. Barbie, one of the most anticipated films of the year, is soon arriving in cinemas.
While the film has created the right amount of excitement, it is also going to face tough competition from Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which releases on the same day. How to Watch Barbie Online?
As of now, the streaming release date for Barbie has not been announced by Warner Bros. Pictures. However, we can still make an accurate prediction about the same considering the timelines of the previous releases by the distribution company.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ latest releases, The Flash and Evil Dead Rise, arrived on the streaming platform around two months after their theatrical release. So Barbie is expected to be released online at the end of September 2023. However, both The Flash and Evil Dead Rise were not mega blockbusters and did not last long enough in theaters.
Considering the hype around the Barbie movie, it is expected to have an extended theatrical run, so the streaming release date can pushed to October or November 2023, based on the box-office performance of the film.
As for which streaming platform will stream the film, Warner Bros. Pictures owns Max, (previously known as HBO Max). So Barbie will be available to stream on Max sometime in October or November this year.
When will Barbie Get a Digital Release?
If you do not wish to wait for streaming release, the film will also be released digitally on rentals and PVOD. The digital release will take place earlier than the streaming release. Production companies usually keep a 45-day theatrical run window before launching the film digitally. So Barbie could be eyeing a digital release sometime in September 2023.

Barbie is the first live-action adaptation based on the globally successful toy doll franchise by Mattel. The film will take you to a fantasy world known as Barbie Land, a human-sized version of the iconic toy world.
Apart from Robbie and Gosling, the film stars Kate McKinnon, Dua Lipa, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Nicola Coughlan as different versions of Barbie and Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, Ncuti Gatwa, and John Cena as different versions of Ken.
The cast also includes America Ferrera as Gloria, Rhea Perlman as Ruth Handler, Will Ferrell as the CEO of Mattel, Helen Mirren as the narrator, Michael Cera as Allan, Emerald Fennell as Midge and Connor Swindells as Aaron Dinkins.
The official synopsis for the film reads, “Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.”
