The CMT Music Awards have been handed out to the best country artists for their music and music videos! This year, the fan-voted awards show took place at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on Sunday night.

The 2023 CMT Music Awards were held in Austin, Texas on April 2, 2023, Sunday. The awards show was broadcast live on CBS and other Paramount Global networks from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
Country singer Lainey Wilson led the list of nominees with a total of four nods including video of the year, collaborative video of the year, female video of the year, and CMT performance of the year.
Wilson was closely followed by three artists: Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, and first-time nominee Jelly Roll with three nominations. On the other hand, a total of 16 acts were originally nominated for video of the year, although Brown and his wife Katelyn, HARDY, Wilson, and Carrie Underwood made it as finalists.

And the 2023 CMT Music Award for video of the year went to Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn Brown for their song Thank God. After winning the award, the couple who tied the knot in the year 2018 shared a kiss and gave a beautiful speech.
In her award-winning speech, Katelyn said, “Oh, my gosh! First off, I am so nervous. This is all so new to me and when we recorded this song a year ago, I never in my life would ever think this was going to happen. But I just want to say thank you so much to my amazing husband. I love you. This is so special that we get to share this together every night, and I love you so much.”
Kane chimed in, “I’ll be quick. I just want to say thank you to the fans who voted. I want to say thank you to Sony [and] my awesome manager, Martha. This is Alex Alvga. He moved here from Barcelona. He wanted to be a video director. He’s done, like, all of my music videos. He’s making the American Dream come true.”
Who were the other notable winners at the 2023 CMT Music Awards?
On Sunday night, Lainey Wilson won the trophy for female video of the year for her song Heart Like a Truck, meanwhile, the Son of a Sinner singer Jelly Roll picked up the CMT Music Award for male video of the year.
Zac Brown Band took home the honor of group/duo video of the year at the 2023 CMT Music Awards. The Tennessee Orange crooner Megan Moroney nabbed the award for breakthrough female video of the year and Jelly Roll secured the award in the male category.
