The first season of Hell’s Paradise is off to a great start. The anime began airing recently and has already become the third highest-rated series in the Spring slate. The show revolves around ninja Gabimaru and executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri as the two search for the elixir of immortality during the Edo period in Japan.
Hell’s Paradise has aired two episodes so far, with the international telecast being handled by Crunchyroll. However, only a subbed version of the show is available so far and many fans are awaiting the release of English dubbed episodes. Read on to find out when the wait would finally end.
Hell’s Paradise English Dub Release Date
Hell’s Paradise English dub will premiere on Crunchyroll Saturday, April 15th at 1:30 pm PT / 4:30 pm ET. This first dubbed episode will be released five hours after the broadcast of the third subbed episode. The dubbed version will then follow a weekly schedule, two weeks behind the main series.
Later, the anime will also be dubbed into Brazilian, French, German, Italian, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, and Castilian Spanish. Meanwhile, Crunchyroll will continue to simulcast subbed episodes on Saturdays at 8:30 am PT, the same time as their premiere in Japan.
Hell’s Paradise English Dub Voice Cast
Crunchyroll has also announced the voice cast for the dubbed version. Alejandro Saab (Horimiya and Platinum End) stars as Gabimaru, Marisa Duran (Horimiya and Aoashi) as Sagiri, Nazeeh Tarsha (Revenger and A3) as Chobe, and Matt Shipman (Sk8 The Infinity and Attack on Titan) as Toma.
Hell’s Paradise also features Jill Harris (The Quintessential Quintuplets) as Yuruziha, Reagan Murdock (Chainsaw Man and Natsume’s Book of Friends) as Shion, Ben Balmaceda (One Piece and Aharen-san) as Tenza, Cassie Ewulu (Demon Slayer) as Nurugai, and Jordan Dash Cruz (Trapped in a Dating Sim and Ensemble Stars) as Senta.
What is Hell’s Paradise About?
Hell’s Paradise, based on the popular manga, follows the story of Gabimaru The Hollow, a former Shinobi who has been sentenced to death for betraying his clan and defying the authorities. Gabimaru, who appears emotionless and desires to die, cannot be killed by any execution method.
Sagiri, a renowned executioner, observes Gabimaru and proposes a job that could save him. Gabimaru realizes he wants to live for his wife and accepts the job. The story takes a dark turn as Gabimaru and Sagiri journey to a perilous island to obtain the elixir of life from powerful immortals and dangerous creatures.
“In the Edo period of Japan, a select group of convicts awaiting execution are offered the chance to be pardoned and freed the Shogunate of Japan if they go to investigate an island recently discovered southwest of the Ryukyu Kingdom. the convicts are accompanied by elite guards to ensure they won’t escape,” reads the official synopsis.
“Once they reach there, they find themselves overwhelmed by the island’s residents, a host of monsters and their creators, a group of immortal beings. Now the convicts and guards must work together to stop the immortals and escape the island,” it reads further.
