What did Bruce Springsteen have to say about his retirement plans?
While making an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show last year, Springsteen spilled the beans on retirement. At that time, he told Howard, the host of the show that he doesn’t plan to retire any time soon.
At that point in time, the Tougher Than The Rest singer said, “I can’t imagine [retiring], you know? I mean, if I got to a place where I was incapacitated or something but up until then I think I’m… I mean, look at Johnny Cash, Pete Seeger.”
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, both Seeger and Cash performed really well during their golden years and Bruce even recalled sharing the stage with an 89-year-old Seeger at Obama’s inauguration in the year 2009.
Springsteen went on to say, “I look at those guys and go, ‘Yeah, I don’t know if I’ll [always] be doing three-hour shows, but I have so many different kinds of music that I can play and do.
