Golden Globe Awards 2023: Full List of Winners is Here

The names of the 2023 Golden Globe winners have been announced! The Golden Globe Awards 2023 took place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. The awards were broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Here’s everything you need to know about Golden Globes 2023

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, this was the 80th edition of the Golden Globes. The annual ceremony was held at the Beverly Hilton and aired live on NBC as well as Peacock.

Comedian, actor, writer, and filmmaker Jerrod Carmichael served as the host of the 80th edition of the award ceremony. The award show was indeed a star-studded affair. Many celebs were appreciated for their work.

Who was the big winner of the night?

The Fabelmans and The Banshees of Inisherin bagged the top prizes of the night on the film side. When we talk about the TV world, Abbott Elementary, House of the Dragon, and The White Lotus were among the big winners.

And the award for best motion picture (drama) went to Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans. Steven Spielberg also won the award for best director. The film The Banshees of Inisherin picked up the award for best motion picture (musical or comedy).

The movie Argentina, 1985 secured the award for best motion picture (Non-English language). Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio received the prize for best motion picture (animated).

George R. R. Martin’s House of the Dragon was named the best television series. Abbott Elementary scored the award for best TV comedy at the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday.

Austin Butler bagged the best actor award at the Golden Globe Awards 2023

Elvis star Austin Butler won the award for best performance by an actor in a motion picture (drama), meanwhile, Cate Blanchett took home the award in the female category for her performance in Tár. 

Michelle Yeoh won best actress for ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’

Everything Everywhere All at Once actress Michelle Yeoh won the award for best actress in a motion picture (musical or comedy). In her award-winning speech, Yeoh put some light on ageism and racism she faced.

After accepting the trophy, Michelle said, “As time went by — I turned 60 last year — and I think all of you women understand this. As the days, the years and the numbers get bigger, it seems like opportunities start to get smaller as well. Then along came the best gift: ‘Everything, Everywhere All at Once.’”

On the other hand, Colin Farrell secured the trophy for best actor in a motion picture (musical or comedy) for his remarkable performance in the movie The Banshees of Inisherin.

Angela Bassett was honored with the award for best performance by an actress in a supporting role in any motion picture for her performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The Everything Everywhere All at Once star Ke Huy Quan nabbed the award for best performance by an actor in a supporting role in any motion picture.
