The residency shows will begin in May 2023 and run through December. A total of 27 shows have been scheduled as of now. Read on to learn more about the residency and know how to grab tickets for the shows.
Garth Brooks Announces New Las Vegas Residency
On Monday, the 60-year-old singer announced that he will be heading to Las Vegas next year for his Garth Brooks/Plus One residency concerts. “Vegas is the place where anything goes, and The Colosseum at Caesars is the heart of Vegas. The perfect combination to present a show that will not only push the envelope, it’s gonna shred it,” Brooks said.
For now, 27 dates have been announced: May 18, 20, 21, 25, 27 and 28; June 1, 3 and 4; July 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 20, 22 and 23; November 29; and Dec. 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15 and 16.
What makes the residency special is that no two concerts will be the same. Each night, the audience will get to see variations in band members, songs, and special guests that will create a unique experience for them. “Any given song, all 10 band members will be playing and singing, then none of them will be,” Brooks said.
“Then maybe percussion and background vocals for ‘The River.’ Or [I’m] talking about George Strait and ‘Amarillo by Morning’ and all of a sudden Mattingly shows up with the fiddle and it’s just [me] and him. Any given night can have any given variation of any given song,” he added.
How to Get Tickets for the Residency Shows
Garth Brooks has collaborated with Ticketmaster Verified Fan, which means only the registered fans will get first access to the tickets. The registration is currently open and will close on November 17 at 8 am PT.
Once registered, the Verified Fan Onsale Invitations will be made available on November 20, followed by the sale of tickets for verified fans on November 21 at 10 a.m. PT. More details about the procedure can be found on Ticketmaster.
Garth Brooks had a Residency in Las Vegas Earlier as well
This will be the second residency for Garth Brooks in Las Vegas. He earlier embarked on a weekend concert residency at Wynn’s Encore Theatre. The shows began in December 2009 and went on till January 2014. Following the residency, Brooks returned to recording and touring.
Talking about how the new residency will be different from the previous one, Brooks said, “Hopefully, it’s everything you love from the Wynn show, but it’ll be different because I owe that to them. The stories from the Wynn were the ‘what ifs.’ These stories will be what I live every day.”
“It’s gonna be cool to talk about James Taylor in this house sitting on our cabinets in the kitchen, barefooted, asking Trisha, ‘How do you make these ‘mashed potatoes taste like this?’. And then you can still play James’ stuff because it’s timeless,” he added.
