‘Fast X’ Filming Locations Explored

Fast X, the tenth and presumably penultimate installment in the Fast & Furious series hit the screens on May 19th. The action film follows Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, facing off a new enemy in the form of Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes, who is here to avenge his drug lord father’s death.

Fast & Furious has become a global phenomenon over the years. The films are known for their adrenaline-filled action sequences, expensive cars, and exotic locations. Fast X is no different and features some breathtaking sequences. Fans are now wondering where was the film shot. Read on to find out.

Fast X Filming Locations

Fast X was shot in a number of countries, including Portugal, Italy, Spain, the US, and England. The filming began in April 2022 and concluded in August of the same year. Here are all the locations where Fast X was filmed:

Rome, Italy

The major portion of Fast X was shot in and around Rome, the capital of Italy. The production team was seen filming around the city in May and July 2022. They set up their camp in the capital for around three weeks and recorded some pivotal sequences.

Some of the iconic locations where the filming took place included Via Italo Belardi in Genzano, Via Cristoforo Colombo, the town of Genzano di Roma, Lungotevere, Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II, the Castel Sant’Angelo, Via dei Fori Imperiali, Ponte Umberto 1, Via della Cordonata, and Garibaldi, Salita di Sant’Onofrio.

Turin, Italy

The cast and crew of Fast X also filmed some key scenes in Turin, a historical city in the Piedmont state in northern Italy. A number of locations around the city were utilized for filming, including Via Roma, Murazzi del Po, Piazza Crimea & Corso Fiume, Monumento alla Spedizione di Crimea at Piazza Crimea, Ponte Vittorio Emanuele I and the Piazza IV Marzo.

Lisbon, Portugal

After concluding the shoot in Italy, the Fast X team headed to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal to film a few other important scenes. The cameras were set up around the IP5 highway, Autoestrada do Interior Norte, and the Penoita region in the Vouzela municipality. Two more cities in Portugal: Viseu and Vila Real, were also used as filming backdrops.

Salamanca, Spain

A few sequences for the film were shot in Spain. The cast and crew set up their camp the Aldeadávila Dam in Salamanca city in Spain. Fast X became the second film to be shot at the location, after Terminator: Dark Fate.

Los Angeles, US

The home of Hollywood, Los Angeles, also served as a filming location for the action film. A number of iconic landmarks from the city can be spotted in the film, including the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, the Venice Canal Historic District, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Griffith Observatory, and the Hollywood Sign.

London, England

London was the final filming location for Fast X, where the shooting wrapped up in August last year. The production crew mostly made use of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden to tape some sequences. The studio features 19 stages with a huge back lot area, along with multi-functional areas and workshop spaces.
