Emmy Rossum and her husband, Sam Esmail secretly welcomed a baby boy! The “Shameless” star recently took to Instagram to share the wonderful news about her newborn son with her 4 million fans. Emmy marked her son’s birthdate as April 5, 2023. This is Emmy and Sam Esmail’s second child.
Born On A Foggy Wednesday Morning!
Emmy Rossum and Sam Esmail have just become proud parents of a baby boy. The 36-year-old actress finally shared the “well-kept secret” via Instagram with her 4 million fans. The “Angelyne” star wrote, “04.05.23. On a foggy Wednesday morning, our son was born.”
In the post, she shared her son’s tiny footprints and revealed that her healthy son weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19.5 inches tall during his birth. Rossum’s son was born at 10:40 a.m. In one picture, she shared her baby bump and in another, she shared an adorable mirror selfie of her baby.
Back in 2021, the Phantom of the Opera actress announced she gave birth to her first child with her husband Sam. She shared the news to her Instagram account, captioning a series of maternity photos, “5.24.21. On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13 AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world.”
Just like this time, Emmy previously included a photo of her daughter’s footprint, revealing the little one’s five perfect toes. In addition to this, also posted another photo of herself posing in a window, writing, “Two weeks before our daughter was born.” As they did with their daughter, Emmy and Sam, 45, have not shared their son’s name.

Emmy Rossum and Sam Esmail first met on the set of “Comet”. The director proposed to Rossum in 2015 after dating her for two years. The couple finally exchanged vows in 2017, in an intimate ceremony at Central Synagogue in New York City before throwing a lavish reception at the Guggenheim Museum.
