The Movie Sheds Light On The Author’s Activism As A Feminist
According to the outlet, the movie will reveal how the author was a feminist activist in the dress reform movement. She campaigned for women to wear comfortable clothes rather than the oppressive Victorian clothes of the time.
Two sons were born to Lloyd and Wilde, who lived in 1884, named Cyril and Vyvyan after the couple’s sons. Llyod had more responsibilities to take care of than Wilde since the latter was an absent parent.
After Wilde was sentenced to two years in prison for homosexuality in 1895, which was still illegal in the country, Lloyd and their children moved to Switzerland to distance themselves from the writer. Even though they may not have divorced, Llyod changed the last names of her sons to Holland while the couple was still married.
He developed a reputation as a prolific author, published two books for children, and contributed to newspapers and journals. In her role as an activist for progressive dress reform, she was a fierce advocate and one of the strongest campaigners. While living in Genoa, Italy, with his sons and wife, Lloyd died in 1898 at 40.
