Ed Sheeran Speaks Out About His Wife Cherry Seaborn’s Tumor While She Was Pregnant

Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn had a difficult road to parenthood. During Cherry’s second pregnancy, she was diagnosed with a tumor which caused Ed to become more vocal about the issue.

In an interview, he explained how he felt about their struggles and how he thought about them then.

While Pregnant, Ed Sheeran’s Wife Cherry Was Diagnosed With A Tumour

According to Ed Sheeran, the new album, Subtract, announced just a few days ago, was written from scratch in a little more than a week from top to bottom. The fact that he experienced so many life-changing events within a matter of months, which included a significant health scare in his family – makes it all the more likely that he gained a great deal of inspiration in such a short period.

It was revealed earlier this week that EDM star Ed Sheeran’s forthcoming single, Subtract, will be released on May 5. The song’s title is stylized in the standard Sheeran fashion as “-,” and the 32-year-old pop star also shared that Cherry Seaborn was diagnosed with a tumor while pregnant with his and Cherry’s second child.

The announcement of his new album, posted on all his social media accounts, told us he shared that within a month, his pregnant wife had been diagnosed with a tumor, with no possible treatment until after giving birth. “Within a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumor, with no route to treatment until after the birth,” he wrote in his announcement.

The Mid-Pregnancy Health Complication Of Seaborn-Inspired Subtract

There were many inspirations to Subtract, including Seaborn’s mid-pregnancy health complications, which the singer says influenced his release of the album, on which he spilt some of his “deepest darkest thoughts.”

“A series of events that took place at the beginning of 2022 changed how I lived my life, my mental health, and ultimately how I viewed art and music,” in his announcement on Wednesday, March 1, he wrote, as part of his statement.

“My best friend Jamal, a brother to me, died suddenly, and I found myself standing in court defending my integrity and career as a songwriter. I was spiraling through fear, depression, and anxiety. I felt like I was drowning, head below the surface, looking up but unable to breathe.” As he put it, he felt like he was drowning.

Sheeran also revealed that he’d scrapped a decade’s worth of work on -, which follows 2011’s +, 2014’s x, 2017’s ÷, and 2021’s =, and replaced it with a track list of songs written: “in just over a week.” “Writing songs is my therapy,” the singer explained. “It helps me make sense of my feelings. So I wrote without thought of what the songs would be, I just wrote whatever tumbled out.” This is what he revealed.

The Couple Married In December 2018

December 2018 marked the couple’s official marriage. However, there were only 40 guests at the winter wedding, and media coverage was minimal. So instead, a traditional, carnival-inspired celebration was held in September, nine months after the newlyweds said: “I do.”

Sheeran’s first child, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, was born to Seaborn and the singer in August 2020. Jupiter is Sheeran’s second child, and she was born in May 2022. “Having a family of four is so exciting, and we are so in love with her,” he wrote.

The couple’s story is inspiring, showing how even during difficult times, love can prevail. Ed and Cherry’s courage and resilience in such a challenging situation have touched many hearts worldwide. It reminds us that no matter what life throws at us, we can always find strength in our loved ones.

What is your opinion of Ed Sheeran’s music? Are you a fan of his? Do you have a favorite song from him that you enjoy listening to? If yes, what is it? We would love for you to share your thoughts in the comments.
