Ed Sheeran is organizing special intimate shows in support of his new album. The singer, who is kicking off his The Mathematics Tour in May, has announced new shows based on his album ‘-’ (Subtract) which is scheduled to release on May 5th.
Sheeran says that the special ‘smaller’ shows will be organized in theaters and auditoriums across North America. The Shape of You singer has so far announced 14 intimate Subtract concerts. Read on to know the venues and the ticket details.
Ed Sheeran Announces Intimate Subtract Tour in Support of New Album
“I’m playing some smaller theatre shows in the US this summer, so I can play Subtract the entire way through with full band in an intimate setting,” Sheeran wrote on social media announcing the concerts.
The tour will begin at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida on May 19th and will conclude at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on September 22nd. Here are the full details of the venues and dates:

The opening act will be performed by singer-songwriter Ben Kweller on most of the days, except for Royal Oak and Seattle concerts.
Subtract Tour Special Shows: Ticket Options
The tickets for the Subtract Tour will be going live through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system. Registration for the sale is currently open and will go on till Sunday, April 30th, 11:59 pm ET. The sale will then begin on May 2nd at 10 a.m. local time. More details can be checked out here.
Interested fans can also enjoy the Subtract Experience Pop-Up, which is being organized from May 5th to 7th in five cities, including New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston.
Meanwhile, Sheeran’s fifth studio album, Subtract, featuring 23 tracks, will be launched next Friday. Around the same time, a documentary based on the singer, Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All, will begin streaming on Disney+ on May 3rd.
The Mathematics Tour will Go On in Parallel
The Subtract tour will run parallel to Sheeran’s much-anticipated The Mathematics Tour, which features 89 shows across three legs. The first leg began in Europe last year, followed by Oceania in February and March this year.
The North American leg of the tour will commence on May 6th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Sheeran will then tour across Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, and Vancouver among other cities before concluding the concerts in Los Angeles on September 23rd.
