On Valentine’s Day, the Dancing with the Stars pro and the CODA star revealed that they had been dating since last season after showing off their dancing skills on the ABC competition show.
A Valentine’s Day Post Confirms Daniel Durant And Britt Stewart Are Dating
Britt Stewart and Daniel Durant are dating in real life after becoming friends while competing on season 31 of Dancing With the Stars. On Tuesday, February 14, the new couple confirmed their relationship by sharing a cute photo they took on a pier on Valentine’s Day, showing off a picture they posed for the occasion.
“My Valentine. ♥️ Happy Valentine’s Day!” The caption of the photo on Daniel’s Instagram account reads. Britt also shared a cute video of her and Daniel dancing while looking at an art installation while dating. Also on Instagram, Stewart shared a video with a caption of an emoji and an Instagram caption of herself dancing with Durant, set to Montell Fish’s Fall in Love with You.
Daniel and Britt were eliminated from the competition a few days before the live finale, finishing in fifth place. It is not well known by most people that Daniel starred in the Oscar-winning movie CODA as well as the ABC Family television series Switched at Birth.

As part of her excitement for the couple going public with their relationship, DWTS champion Emma Slater commented in the comment section, “Ahhhhh there it is!!!! ❤️❤️❤️😍I love this SO MUCH!!!” Pasha Pashkov, a fellow professional, commented, “Happy Valentine’s Day you lovebirds!!!” and fellow season 31 competitor Wayne Brady added, “I knew it!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️Congrats!”
Witney Carson commented on the pair’s post, asking, “Is this a soft launch??? 😍😍😍 love you both!!” In a recent conversation with a fellow pro, Koko Iwasaki, he said, “🤭 you already know how I feeeeeeeellllll”
Several other DWTS cast members also sent their good wishes in the comment section, including Jenna Johnson, Sharna Burgess, Cheryl Burke, Daniella Karagach, and others.
As part of Durant’s partnership with Stewart, he learned American Sign Language, which led him to place fifth during the 31st season of DWTS. Durant subsequently credited Stewart for his DWTS success.
“She’s so friendly and ready to work with me from that first day. And she started teaching me her dance, and I started teaching her sign language right away,” Durant, a deaf individual, said about his partnership with her.

Dance has been a part of Britt Stewart’s life since she was three years old when she started dancing at her local Colorado studio, Artistic Fusion Dance Academy. She received extensive training in modern and cultural dance styles at the prestigious Denver School of the Arts in 2000. Her studies at Loyola Marymount University included modern and ballet, and she later moved to Los Angeles, where she still resides.
At age twelve, Britt began dancing professionally with a tap company, TapKids, and choreographed a K-Mart commercial with Wayne Cilento. The work has continued since then for Britt. No Strings Attached and Fame were all made with her as a principal dancer.
Among the artists with whom she has collaborated are Florence and the Machine, Rihanna, Demi Lovato, Annie Lenox, Selena Gomez, and Janet Jackson. In addition, there are many choreographers with whom she has worked, such as Brian Friedman, Fatima Robinson, Marguerite Derricks, Kenny Ortega, HiHat, Wade Robson, and many others. In addition, she was a guest on ABC Family’s Dancing Fools, which aired Fridays at 7 p.m.
