“Revenge” and “Greek” actress Dilshad Vadsaria is joining the second season of Sony Crackle’s hit new show “The Oath.”

The gritty drama focuses on a world of gangs sworn to shed light on secret and corrupt societies and protect the world around them.

Vadsaria will recur as Anaya Gil. She runs the U.S. faction of Indo-Canadian organized crime. Her crime ring specializes in the theft and sale of luxury cars. She runs the business alongside her lieutenant Rajiv (who is still to be cast).

In its second season, “The Oath” examine themes of family and redemption, giving the characters a chance to reclaim their lives as their own, pushing them to find a new path and attempting to conquer their inner demons – all while trying to protect their own lives in the process, according to Deadline.

Anaya is described as “professional, loyal to her friends, and expects the same from her partners. She cares about her business and her people, willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe.”

It’s exciting to see a character of South Asian descent play a role different from the ones we usually see them in. Vadsaria, who is of Indian, Pakistani, and Portuguese heritage, has previously appeared in “Notorious,” “Second Chance,” and “Bones.” We’re looking forward to seeing who is cast as her right hand man Rajiv.

“The Oath” stars Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”), Katrina Law (“Arrow”), Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood”), and J.J. Soria (“Army Wives”). Season 1 is available to watch on Sony Crackle. Season 2 will go into production this year.
