The release date for HBO Max’s DC League of Super-Pets has been set. Following its theatrical release, audiences have been anticipating its streaming release. And now it has arrived.
It tells the story of Krypto, Superman’s pet dog, and Ace, a shelter dog who team up with other animals to rescue the seized superheroes from Lex Luthor and Lulu.
On a $90 million budget, the film received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed nearly $178 million worldwide. On June 29, 2022, it was released. Let us now discuss its streaming availability.
DC League Of Super-Pets HBO Max Release Date
DC League of Super-Pets is still in theatres, and a digital version is also available. HBO has confirmed that the movie will be available on HBO Max on September 26, 2022. Furthermore, the animated movie will be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 4, 2022.

Unfortunately, unlike other platforms, HBO Max does not provide free trials. In order to watch the movie, you must subscribe to one of their plans. They do, however, have offers here and there.
Director David Stern said, “I was working already at Warner Bros. and with DC, and I knew of the Super-Pets. I smushed those two ideas together. That’s the origin story of this perhaps origin story of our Super-Pets in our movie.
And so from there, I knew that I wanted a bunch of pets in a Metropolis animal shelter and it made sense for there to be a dog, obviously, like Ace, and perhaps there could be a squirrel like Chip and a turtle-like Merton. And so it just fit with pets that you could find in a Metropolis shelter as I was digging.
I wish we could have used all of the great pets in the DC canon, there’s a lot.”
DC League Of Super-Pets Synopsis
DC Comics describes the movie as, “In DC League of Super-Pets, Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side.
When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle, and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.” You can even check out the trailer below.
Producer Hiram Garcia the movie about being a massive project. “It’s a lot of fun. As a Superman fan and a huge dog lover, having the ability to tell the story of Krypto and Superman is a dream come true! It’s such a charming story and then in addition we get to introduce the league of Super-Pets and all those wonderful characters.
We have such an amazing cast of actors, and anytime you can get Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart together doing what they do, you know it’s going to be a big, fun ride for audiences.”
